As 3 cottages availability may only be available for some, not all of the cottages. There are no weekends in 2021 available for 22 guests but do for 14/16 We have 3 beautiful, country cottages, perfect to explore Derbyshire. In Stoney Middleton, in a peaceful courtyard, you’ll find yourself in the perfect location for walking, climbing, cycling and relaxing in the beautiful Peak District. Chatsworth House & Bakewell a short drive away with doorstep walks to many picturesque locations. The cottages have been recently refurbished to the highest standard. You’ll arrive to our courtyard with outdoor seating, and enjoy living space downstairs consisting of a spacious lounges, fully fitted dining kitchens with washer dryer, dishwasher and everything you will need for your stay. You will find 11 good sized bedrooms, family bathrooms and en-suites. Plenty of space for 24 people to stay comfortably. Guests have access to the courtyard, there is also a stream running along the back of the cottages which children love to play in. We live locally to the cottage so can be with you if you need us very quickly. Located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, Britain’s premier and most visited Park on the A623 which divides Stoney Middleton in half as it follows the deep and dramatic limestone gorge which cuts through the village. Houses cling to rocky ledges, providing a picture postcard image of this quaint and unusual dale. Visitors come to enjoy the walks in and around Stoney Middleton including the Heritage Trails, accompanied by information boards and a guided map. They enjoy discovering the quiet and peaceful backwaters away from the bustle of the road, where many of the village’s intriguing and beautiful listed buildings can be found. Stoney Middleton was originally recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086 and is remarkable today for the amount and variety of historical heritage. It is a very special place retaining a deep rooted traditional village feel. Whilst nestled in the countryside you are never too far from anything here in Stoney. There’s a fab village pub, The Moon Inn, just across the road which serves great food, an Indian and the best ‘chippy’ around within walking distance. There is a local shop just a couple of minutes down the road where you can stock up too. We are just a short drive away from the lovely village of Baslow where you will find the Michelin star restaurant, Fischer’s, and other fab places to eat, just a little further afield is Chatsworth and Bakewell. It’s the perfect location to explore Derbyshire.
