Lake and Sea Villa - walking distance to beaches

Lake and Sea Villa lies between a small lake and the seaside, in the beautiful village of Tersanas, close to Chania. The villa is located about 100 meters from a unique and secluded beach, easily accessible by a trail from near the house. Lake and Sea Villa is managed by "etouri vacation rental management" The luxurious villa comprises of spacious living areas distributed on three levels, covering a total surface of 255 m2 and it incorporates a distinctive curved frontal aspect and natural stone, which adds unique charm. The property can accommodate 10 guests in beds and up to 12 if necessary in its 5 bedrooms, 4 of which have fitted en-suite bathrooms. Layout First Floor From the ground floor stairs lead up to the first floor, where two bedrooms are located, both of which have access to private, pergola covered large sun terrace with beautiful view to the sea and lake. One of the bedrooms is the master bedroom which features an en-suite bathroom with shower and walk-in closet. The second bedroom features an ensuite bathroom with shower and closet. Ground Floor Entering the villa you find yourselves in a spacious open plan area consisting of the living room and dining area. The living area features a comfortable sofa, fireplace, bluetooth speaker and scenic views to the garden and sea. Large glass balcony doors provide ample lighting and easy access to the spacious balcony equipped with the outdoor dining table, that overlooks the sea. Stairs from the balcony lead down to access the pool area of the villa. The fully equipped kitchen is situated on this level as well, offering all essentials for a self-catered, family holiday, including an indoor dining table for 6 people. Finally one more bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower and access to a terrace that leads down to the pool area is available on the ground floor. Lower Floor From the ground floor stairs lead down to the lower level’s sitting lounge which features a an extra (folding) sofa - double bed, office space and HDTV with Playstation 4. This level offers two additional bedrooms which have direct access and view to the garden, leading up to the pool area. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Finally the laundry room is located on this level. All 5 bedrooms have separate air-conditioning system and king size beds (1,60 X 2,00). In addition, the Villa features a solar panel water heating system – for hot water year round, and energy efficient underfloor heating. Outdoor area The total area of the garden and house is about 2.000 m2 and it offers several facilities, including: - A private, 52 m2 swimming pool with extensive sundecks, complete with an outdoor shower for your comfort. The pool can also be heated with an additional charge of 50€ per day. (Please note that the pool heating can be used upon advance request for the entire stay and it requires at least one week advance notice.) - An outdoor living room under a shaded gazebo - A shaded, outdoor dining area at the ground floor veranda. - A variety of furnished spots (with sun beds, umbrellas, hammock and swing for relaxation). - A beautiful garden, overlooking the sea, with typical Cretan plants, trees and lawn covered areas is also available, ideal for the kids to play. - Fully equipped charcoal barbecue facilities. - Ping pong table. - Parking space for up to 3 cars. - The Villa and outdoor area are fenced offering privacy to our guests. Lake and Sea Villa is located in the village of Tersanas, a quiet area situated on a small natural bay in the peninsular of Akrotiri and only located 14km northeast of Chania city. The nearest beaches are Maherida Beach, (a 2 minute walk), a non organised beach which is almost always calm. Tersanas Beach (a 10 minute walk) is an organised beach and rarely effected by the winds! At Horafakia only 2 kilometres away, you will be able to find a mini market, bakery, butcher, gas station, newsagent shop and some traditional tavernas. Furthermore 6.5 km away from the villa there is a bigger village called Kounoupidiana where you will be able to find a variety of shops such as a pharmacy, butcher, fishmonger, post office and larger supermarkets.   There are also some remarkable historical monuments, monasteries and churches, caves, the famous tombs of Venizelos and many places with archaeological interests. In addition, if you are looking for privileges that only a big city can offer, then Chania town is 14 km away and offers unique facilities and a wide variety of entertainment. Marathi beach (15 km): Marathi has two wonderful beaches, divided by the pier of the harbour and they are probably two of the best beaches in Akrotiri peninsula. Both are sandy and well organized with sun beds and umbrellas. The most important advantage with the beaches in Marathi is that you'll almost never see the sea with waves, even when it blows in western Crete. Also there you can find taverns and cafes by the sea. Marathi is ideal for families with children. Loutraki beach (14km): Loutraki beach is a waveless beach with fine sand, between the rocky shore of the bay. Also there you will find restaurants and beach bars. Furthermore, on the west of Crete you will find some of the most amazing and famous beaches of Crete and Greece like “Phalasarna”, “Balos”, “Gramvousa”, and “Elafonisi”. Although those magical beaches are a bit of drive from the villa, we definitely suggest you to visit them as we assure you that you will leave with unforgettable memories.
