Magical camping pitch for a couple in our wood. Explore the wild wood - choose your area - set up camp! Adults only. BRING YOUR OWN TENT & ALL YOUR CAMPING GEAR! Natural, beautiful & quiet, on 12 acre sheep farm on the Norfolk Broads. Great walks, beach (30 mins), shops, 4 pubs, restaurants & Co-op (5 minute walk). Shared toilet & shower in woods. Public toilets/shower 5 min walk. Private parking. Will suit quiet couples. No dogs or children under 18 allowed. We welcome you to our home and woods to privately camp and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, being at one with nature. We own a 12 acre sheep farm and have set up the woods as a nature reserve. We are not a campsite. This is a pitch for you and your tent in our private wood. The wood is a 3-4 minute walk from where you park the car. We can provide wheelbarrows to move your equipment. Explore our wood, choose where you want to pitch your tent and set up your camping home. If you are looking for manicured lawns, then this is not the place for you. This is wild camping on rough, uneven fields and forest land, but spectacularly beautiful, spacious and fun. In the wood there is also a log cabin and a shepherd's hut (available to rent on airbnb) and another camping pitch, but there is plenty of space to get lost and explore on your own over 2 acres and find your own peaceful oasis to choose your camp. We have fresh water, shared toilet and woodland gas shower in the woods, for your convenience. There is also a publicly owned shower/toilets opposite our property, which is a 5 minute walk away from the woods. (Public shower costs £2 and you can buy a token from the local shop next to our house. The shower is owned by the local council and we have no control over the operation of it.) You will share the 6 acres of wood and fields with 2 other cabins in other locations and 1 other tent site booking. The woods are located in a valley on the edge of Loddon so there may be occasional sounds from traffic and houses. There is however plenty of space to find your area - do please be mindful of other campers and associated properties. The only facilities you will share are the toilet and woodland shower. *** Easy access to shops/cafes/pubs - 5 minutes walk away. *** Washing machine facilities (a £5 charge per wash/dry) for emergency washing and plenty of additional drying space (indoors or outdoors) available in our house - please ask us. *** THE RULES - VERY IMPORTANT. Please obey these following RULES for your own safety and the enjoyment of all who stay on our property: 1. Please bring your own tent and all your equipment. 2. One Tent only - 2 adults only! 3. There is also 'on street' parking outside our property. 10. PLEASE NOTE: YOU STAY ON OUR PROPERTY COMPLETELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. BY BOOKING THIS ACCOMMODATION YOU AGREE TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY FOR ANY ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOURSELF, ANY OF YOUR PARTY OR YOUR POSSESSIONS WHILST ON OUR PROPERTY. Anyone who breaches these rules, may be asked to leave without compensation. You are free to access all of the woods with pathways. You can come and go as you please, respecting our gates and animals. Either Katherine or Andy are normally around in the house and able to offer help or provide any information that you may need. We know the area well and are involved in lots of local activities in the area, so pride ourselves on having great relations and knowledge of the local community. We're very laid back, friendly people and I'm sure we will all get along well! Loddon (and the adjoining village of Chedgrave) is a lovely and traditional Norfolk village with historic buildings and sits on the River Chet with boating moorings and access to the entire Norfolk Broads network. You can be virtually self sufficient in Loddon, as we boast numerous cafes, pubs, local shops and supermarket. We are also part of the National cycleway and boast some fantastic river walks, especially to the bird sanctuary at Hardley flood (15 minutes walk away). Loddon is halfway between Norwich and Beccles, off the A146 and there is a regular bus service. Trains are located in Norwich and Beccles. The campsite is a few minutes 'easy' walk from the town centre. We just ask that you respect our environment and respect our neighbours, close gates and tidy up after you. Please take all your rubbish home. Please take care with BBQ's and no open fires. If you have any questions, we would be very happy to hear from you.
