Living-in-history: Historic Charm and design

Cosy studio in the heart of the historic village of Duddeldorf - an ideal starting point for your vacation in the Eifel region. The studio forms part of a 18th century building complex that was totally renovated some years ago and has received an Award for Preservetion of Arquitectural Heritage. Historic elements meet modern design here. Right across there is the village bakery and the castle with the beer garden and a bistro. The studio has a kitchen area with everything you need. In the middle part there is a sofa and a TV with an Amazon Fire Stick (normal TV and Internet streaming) in front of it. In the back part there is the extra comfy double bed (1,60 m x 2,00 m). There are two small wardrobes to store your clothes and personal items. In the bathroom there is an XL-shower. The studio has underfloor heating and a small ethanol fire place (winter). The studio is totally independent and has its own access from the street. I don't live in or near the house, but my guests can get in touch with me anytime over the phone. Additionally a neighbour in the village will help out with any question. I leave my guest their individual freedom and privacy. The studio is in the center of the village just a few meters form the bistro and right across the street is the bakery, so it's easy to make contacts with locals if wanted. In front of the entrance there is a wood bench for a relaxed glass of wine in the evening. Right across the street there is a beer garden in front of the village castle. In the village you will find all services: Restaurants, banks with ATM, butcher, baker, supermarket, railway station (2km.), ideal for (bike-)hiking (River Kyll valley, Himmerod Abbey), Eifelpark Gondorf, Trier (28 km.), Echternach, Luxemburg, Bittburg (beer brewery) The Autobahn A60 is at 6 km. Either take exit "Badem" (arriving from Belgium or the Netherlands) or "Spangdahlem" (from Wittlich crossing). The next railway stations are at Philippsheim (2 km.) or Bitburg-Erdorf (6 km. with a taxi stand), located on the Eifel-Express-Line (Trier-Cologne, usually hourly). The french TGV (high speed train) parts from Luxemburg city. The nearest airports are Luxmburg (Findel) or Hahn ("Frankfurt-Hahn"). Flixbusses (long-haul busses) part from Bitburg. Dudeldorf ist usually a very quiet village with little traffic, however it's a living village and not a museum.
