"Gorgones" Mermaids Place in Kalymnos

Recently renovated and fully equipped (Wi-Fi included) two bedroom home with a terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea, and a beautiful shady garden. Bright and open spaces make all visitors welcomed. Located on the hillsides of the village Skalia, our house is about 20 m from the natural spring of Panagia, and just a short walk from pristine beaches with crystal-clear waters. Our home is an open-spaced house decorated with the colours and simplicity of the Hellenic island houses. The theme of the sea and mermaids is shown in all spaces. Large windows let the Greek sunlight and breeze intrude the house, while creating an atmosphere very welcomed to all visitors. The front terrace is overlooking the stunning Aegean Sea while the side terrace is shaded by a beautiful grape vine. A typical day could be to wake up on the sound of the waves and have your coffee under our grape vine. Later fill your water bottles at the spring and walk to the sea through the stone-paved paths... All areas of the house and garden I am more than happy to be contacted anytime. Pristine beaches, craving crystal-clear waters and the bright radiant Greek sun... Skalia is a small village in the northern part of Kalymnos. The dramatic landscape combined with the breathtaking beauty of the sea is what makes this area really unique. In recent years, the overlooking cliffs and caves have been an attraction to rock climbers and hikers. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing especially at night. In the morning you wake up at the sounds of the waves and cicadas, while the wild goats are always around. At Platanos Square, the natural spring of Panagia is providing every local as well as all visitors with excellent quality drinking water. This makes it a great place to meet and socialise with locals. On the way to the sea one will walk through wild herbs like thyme, Sage and oregano which give-off amazing aromas. The coastline is just as unique with the craving crystal-clear waters and pebble and/or sand beaches. The curious visitors will surely be rewarded... The best way to get around is by car or scooter. There is also a bus service available. Using a mobile phone at Skalia could be a problem as the signal around this area is very poor. For this reason we offer a very good internet service which makes communication easy.
