Set in a garden of 3 acres, The Fords is on the edge of the village of Southwater, West Sussex and the perfect place for you to relax in peace and enjoy your stay. The Annexe has its own front stable door, entered via the courtyard with table and seating. Walking straight into a lovely, light , modern well-equipped kitchen with adjacent shower room and open plan lounge, dining room and separate large bedroom overlooking the garden. French doors open onto courtyard and garden from the bedroom. The lounge has a comfortable sofabed, flat screen t.v and plasma fire for extra warmth as well as radiators. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space in the bedroom. Deer can often be seen in the garden with their babies at the right time of year. You have your own private entrance to the annexe. Daphne your host lives in the main house with Missey her beautiful Lhasa Apso dog and is about much of the time should you require any help in order that your stay is really happy. Less than 5 minutes away in the village square are several shops to meet most needs, 3 pubs plus some lovely typical surrounding English country pubs within a few minutes drive that offer good food. The Downs Link, much loved by walkers and cyclists is 2 minutes from The Fords opening up the beautiful English countryside for which Sussex is renowned including the South Downs. The pretty village church is 5 minutes walk away as is the newly built cricket club and grounds towards the village centre making the Annexe the perfect place to stay for a wedding. The famous Christs Hospital School set in stunning grounds is 2 minutes away where the public can access for walks and the theatre holds some great shows during the year. The market town of Horsham is less than 10 minutes drive away with train station services to London and Gatwick and the coast running frequently. Bus stops are in the village and offer easy routes to the coast. Again the Downs Link offers some lovely walks and Southwater Park, a very large, gorgeous park with a large boating lake is within walking distance from The Annexe. We have safe and secure bike storage in the garage for those guests that wish to bring their bikes to enjoy the numerous gorgeous rides on the Downs Link or around the winding country lanes.
