THE HOUSE AND NEIGHBORHOOD ARE UNIQUE... A unique Bed & Breakfast located in the historic village of Zaandijk with the Zaanse Schans on the other side of the Zaan river. The village is only a 15 minute train ride away from Amsterdam Central Station. The green, wooden houses and the small canals that make up the neighborhood create the feeling of going back in time and leaving the busy hustle and bustle of the city behind. The Bed & Breakfast is located in one of these authentic Dutch houses. We welcome you to enjoy the sunset on our terrace, overlooking the characteristic houses, canals and nature. Staying in one of the two light and spacious rooms is the perfect way to visit the Zaanse Schans, Amsterdam, Haarlem, Alkmaar or the sea. THE ROOMS ARE WELL-EQUIPED AND SPACIOUS.... Our room on the first floor is also spacious with a spectacular view over the historical village. Furthermore, you will find the following features: - Double bed - Closet - Private bathroom with shower and toilet - Water cooker and Nespresso machine - Mini bar - HD television - Wifi internet - Access to the terrace Price € 75 during weekdays, € 85 in the weekend (Fri-Sat night) Breakfast: € 8,50 pp We lowered our daily price and made the breakfast optional so you can choose to make it yourself or have us preparing a fine breakfast.. Use of the kitchen and the washing machine is only for long-term users or special circumstances. THE AREA Our B&B is perfectly located for seeing a lot of the Northern part of Holland: we have the Zaanse Schans just around the corner, where the typical Dutch windmills, hundreds of years old, are turning in the wind. You can take a walk through the fields where the cows are grazing or cycle through the beautiful neighborhood. And Amsterdam is only a 15 minutes trainride away! The train will take you to Amsterdam Central Station in roughly 15 minutes, from where you can enjoy the museums, canals, bars, restaurants and everything that this great city has to offer. You can also take the train (30 min.) to Haarlem, a very old city with an impressive cathedral and nice shops. Or travel to the beach to walk through the dunes or take a dive, by train it doesn't take you more than 30 to 40 minutes! GETTING THERE AND AWAY We are located 10 minutes walking from the trainstation Zaandijk-Zaanse Schans. And from that station it's 15 minutes to Amsterdam-Central(Centre) The train takes you to most of the interesting spots in the area. If you come by car there is plenty of parking space around the B&B. WHO ARE WE?
