Brighton'Getaway', Keymer Village

A wonderful converted Old Village Post Office - the Post Box still used by locals. It has been decorated to the highest standard and has a light and modern feel. Perfect for short and long term lets and also for business visitors with its fast wi-fi. Parking opposite is free! There is a lovely Village Pub opposite serving great food. Perfect if you are visiting Brighton and also like the countryside! Also close Gatwick, Lewes, Glyndbourne, Hickstead , Plumpton and Hurstpierpoint college This is a lovely ground floor apartment which has been converted from an Old Village Post Office. (still has the Post Box) It has a large light bedroom with wardbrobe and chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps. There is a comfy superking size bed with lovely new linen, the bed can be split into 2 full size single beds if preferred. There is a space to keep your suitcases and a large modern bathroom with walk in shower. In the lounge there is a small sofa bed really only for 1 person or 2 if a couple or small children! It is spacious and light with wonderful huge south facing window seat (perfect for reading, watching the world go by or just snoozing ! ) a smart TV and WiFi. A very modern kitchenette (fridge with freezer compartment) Electric oven and 4 ring burner built in. Microwave and pots pans etc ) and breakfast bar. It feels very light and airy! You will also find T towels and essentials such as tea and coffee etc. Please note this is an apartment so please be aware there maybe some noise from flat above at times. The apartment is for the sole use of holiday maker There is a key lock so that you can come at a convenient time for you. I will endeavour to come along and say hi! A great little place in an enviable location! The property is in a Conservation area in Keymer Village between Ditchling and Hassocks (With its Main Line Railway Station ) close to the foot of The South Downs. Brighton is very close ( 8 mins by train, 20 mins by car) Gatwick is 20 minutes - London 40 mins. Ditchling Village is a lovely 15 minute walk away with its various cafes, award winning art gallery and award winning pub as well as many vineyards . Also close to Sussex and Brighton Universities. Great for those visiting Plumpton Racecourse or Hickstead or Hurstpierpoint College. The other great thing - no fees for parking . You have the benefit of being in a beautiful village but close to the City of Brighton too as well as Lewes and Glynebourne. The window seat in the lounge is lovely and warm - facing South onto the street, you can watch the world go by ( there is still the working post box outside) as you relax in the Sun. The bed is super comfy ! Hassocks main line railway station is a 10 minute walk away with regular trains to Brighton and London and Gatwick. (Gatwick 20 mins) ( London 50 mins) Brighton (8mins) Hickstead, Glyndbourne Lewes and Sussex University are all within 20 min drive. The South Downs are also very close to walk to, there is a cycle rack outside as a popular cycle are. It is free to park opposite. There is no parking with the apartment, however it is free to park opposite. Most of my guests leave their cars at the Greyhound pub, which the landlord is happy with if you have a drink or 2 there. Also I should point out that I have neighbours above and below - although fully soundproofed it is possible you may hear something! One last thing - the sofa bed is really as small double and I would only recommend 1 person unless a couple or children.
