Corner Cottage Salthouse by the Sea, Norfolk Coast

Welcome to "Corner Cottage", our cosy 1730’s Norfolk Coastal Cottage home has private parking for two cars. The peaceful village of Salthouse has sea views across the salt marshes, is part of the North Norfolk Heritage Coast and is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. The beach with its mixture of shingle, pebbles and sand at low-tide, is a few minutes walk with a variety of walks along the coast or across the fields. One house trained dog, not allowed upstairs for a £25 charge. Our cosy cottage has central heating and underfloor heating on the ground floor. The sitting room has a focal point electric fire. The dining room has a large dining table with both individual seats and benches around. The Shaker style kitchen units contain plenty of utensils, crockery, glasses etc and there is a second small table to sit at. The house can comfortably accommodate 5 people and there is also space in the double bedroom for a travel cot if guests wish to bring their own. Guests can sit outside on the sheltered patio which has a table, chairs and parasol for sunny days. The whole property Check-in is from 6pm onwards. Please let us know if you have young children and we shall try to get you in earlier. We operate a keysafe system for entry. We shall text you the code together with any check in information just before your arrival. If you need to contact us, you will find our mobile numbers in the Guest Information Pack in the Property. One of us can pop in if necessary, as we are close by. Salthouse is in a Conservation Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The sea can be viewed from the Cottage and is a few minutes walk away. The village has the famous Dun Cow Pub offering meals both inside and outside in the pub garden with children well catered for. Salthouse Stores next door stocks plenty of groceries and serves excellent coffee. There is even a mobile Post Office Van every Tuesday afternoon which parks next to the Village Green. We have private parking for two cars on the gravelled area outside our adjacent studio, next to Corner Cottage and the access drive to the neighbouring property should not be blocked. The nearby Coast Hopper Bus runs every half hour in high season amd every hour at other times. You can leave the car behind in our private parking area and take the bus instead along the coast road to Sheringham or in the opposite direction to Hunstanton. Our home is available to let at various times throughout the year. Weekend stays of 3 nights usually start on a Friday and mid week stays of 4 nights usually start on a Monday. We prefer any stays of 7 nights to be booked from Friday evening, especially in high season as this gives our cleaner more flexibility and time to give a thorough clean. High Season usually refers to July and August where bookings are for a minimum of 7 nights beginning on a Friday after 6pm. The usual arrival time of 6pm may be adjusted to be a little earlier for guests with young children. It may also occasionally be possible to alter our usual arrival days so please enquire and we shall try to help. Groups of Adults must be over 25 years of age.
