Take a stroll down to Bradford Dale where you can often spot kingfishers and dippers diving into the river, or take advantage of one of the other spectacular walks available from the doorstep.  Centrally located in the village, the cottage is just a stone’s throw away from the wonderful church, cute little village stores and three fantastic pubs, which all cater for a variety of different tastes. Further afield, you may want to hop in the car and explore the famous Chatsworth House, historic Haddon Hall or sample Bakewell’s famous pudding, all just a five-minute drive away. Or for the more adventurous types, why not take a ride on a steam train in Matlock, splash around in Carsington Water, or take a cycle ride along the High Peak Trail.  After a hard day exploring, take advantage of the secluded garden and enjoy an evening under the stars with your favourite tipple.
