Quaint self-contained country cottage
Glebe Cottage is a quaint, grade II listed cottage. It has been recently refurbished, providing a well stocked kitchen, a wood burning fire for coziness and a bathroom equipped with a shower/bath. It is situated on the edge of West Meon village, 100 meters walk from the village shop, a cafe and an award winning pub, The Thomas Lord. There is immediate access onto paths that lead to the Meon Valley Railway Line Walk and the South Downs Way. Guests are independent but may contact me if needed. Glebe Cottage is on two floors. It has a separate kitchen, a dining room and a living room downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Parking is on the street. Glebe Cottage has its own access and is separate from the house. There will be a key in a safety box which will mean at arrival, guests can let themselves in. I can be contacted if there are any issues or questions. West Meon is situated within the South Downs National Park. Nestled alongside the River Meon, one of the rare chalk streams, there are beautiful valley and Downland walks. The Meon Valley Trail, Old Winchester Hill and The South Downs Way are nearby. The village has a bustling shop and a busy pub, known for its food, and vibrant local scene. West Meon has a rich history dating back to the bronze and iron age. West Meon is on the 67 Bus Route between Winchester and Petersfield, and from Petersfield there is good train service between London and Portsmouth. A car is advisable for more flexible travel as there is, on average, one bus every 2 hours until 6pm and no buses on Sunday. There are many beautiful walking routes in and around West Meon and approximately 2 miles or so from the village is the South Downs Way.
