Good access to walking areas and cycling areas, the Ridgeway, Chiltern Hill, & the Thames Path. Can hire boats, canoes & paddle boards on the Thames. In Bray Fat Duck(3 star), Hind Head 1Star, Heston Blunenthal. The Waterside Inn 3 star Alain Roux. In Great Milton, Oxfordshire, Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, 2 star, Raymond Blanc Lovely walks along the River Thames, watch the boats go through Marlow lock, in the Higginson Park you can in the summer take a river cruise or rent a boat. The park has a lovely play area for children and the duck can be fed. Marlow is in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty (ANOB) with lovely walk in the Chiltern Hill. In the Spring the wood are filled with beautiful snowdrops and bluebells. From Marlow you can access London by train for the Museums, Theatre and events. The National trust properties in the area include Cliveden, Greys Court and Hughenden to mention a few. For the children LegoLand, Thorp Park, Harry Potter world, Bekonscott model village, Roald Dahl Museum and Odds Farm are a short drive away. Towns you can explore include Henley on Thames, Windsor, Oxford, London, High Wycombe, Reading Marlow is used in the Midsommer Murders television drama, some interesting locations are the town library is the Causton town library, The Two Brewer Pub was also a location. The tourist office has created a Midsommer trail- 17 mile drive around Marlow and Medmenham. Marlow has a train station which is a branch line from Maidenhead. Maidenhead trains go East to London Paddington and West to Reading, Bristol, Cardiff. The bus service connect Marlow to High Wycombe and Henley on Thames , Reading. From High Wycombe you can access London Wembley Stadium and on to London Marylebone. Marlow is a small town so when here walk is the best way to get around. Marlow has great access to the Chiltern Hills and the River Thames which you can walk or cycle around if you wish. There are river boat trips in the summer from Higginson Park on the River Thames.
