The Farm House

The Farmhouse Cottage is a 150-year old renovated solid cottage, with un-interrupted panoramic sea views, perched on a 4000-square metre stand of level green lawn. If you are looking for a private, spacious spotless holiday venue, then this is a beautiful choice. It is ideal for families and groups of friends. There is an enclosed shady verandah & beautiful sea-views! A short stroll across the road & along a little path through dune vegetation brings you to an almost private beach. Pet friendly. The home features glowing oregon pine floors and high knotty-pine ceilings. The new owner has decorated the home in upmarket tasteful furniture with a simple flair. The cottage can accommodate up to 10 guests, and offers 4 bedrooms. Bedroom one has a double bed and a single sleeper couch. It also has a built-in shower, toilet, and washbasin. Bedroom 2 and 3 have an interleading door which is ideal for a family if need be. There is a double bed in each of these and the third bedroom has a built-in shower, toilet and basin in the bedroom with a dry-wall divider. There is a fourth smaller bedroom with a 3 sleeper bunk bed in it-ideal for children. The bottom of the bunk bed is a double bed. The original farm-style bathroom is available for this bedroom and general use. It has a big bath and loo and then there is a separate guest toilet and guest shower as well! This spacious house offers a big simple farmhouse kitchen, a lounge, separate dining room, and a large back sun room for little children to spill all their toys out onto the floor and play while you lounge on a comfy leather chair and read your book! There is also a secure porch that overlooks the ocean. One can sit there and just be lazy and sip tea, or watch the dolphins frolicking in the ocean in front while sipping on that glass of sunset wine or sherry. There is plenty of lawn area to park cars on and even a caravan or boat. The Farmhouse Cottage is also pet friendly. There is a caretaker on the property and a cleaning lady can be arranged with enough notice. Come and just have that holiday you deserve; bring the family, your friends & pets, your fishing rods, beers and loads of braai meat and just relax. Elysium is a small beach orientated village on the KZN South coast. It is quiet and peaceful and has some of the most beautiful semi private unspoilt beaches on the entire South African coastline.
