No 10 is a pretty terraced cottage on the edge of Ashridge National Trust forest. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard with bespoke kitchen and bathrooms, underfloor heating and wood burner. Berkhamsted mainline station is 10 mins away. The cottage is new to us although we have lived in the area for many years. It is a small cosy home that we have put a lot of love into. Everything is new, kitchen, bathrooms, underfloor heating, wood burner, furniture. It has a communal garden at the front, a courtyard, and a back garden. There is parking for one car behind the cottage next to the garage. Further parking is available on the road. One bedroom is downstairs with its own bathroom . Guests have full access apart form one of the wardrobes in the master bedroom and the garage. One of our lovely neighbours will be on hand to hand over a key. We can be reached anytime by phone (a word of warning - mobile signal is awful there) We have friends and family close by in case of emergencies. As stated above we are always available by phone and we can contact friends and family to help if needed. The community living in the cottages have made us very welcome which we are so grateful for. I am sure they will be the same towards guests also. The hamlet is attached to the delightful village of little Gaddesden with a village shop and pub that offers good value food. All within walking distance. The cafe at the Ashridge visitor centre does wonderful food and is a favourite of ours for breakfast. There is a bus stop on the main road in front of the house that will take you to Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead. Tring and Berkhamsted stations are both about a 10 minute drive and the trains take you to London Euston in about 40 minutes. Milton Keynes is also 25 minutes by train.I will leave taxi numbers in the cottage. The ridgeway walking trail is just up the road. Whipsnade Zoo is close. Harry Potter experience is in Watford. As the cottage is terraced and some parking is at a premium we have just one parking space next to our garage which is staggered to the right of the cottage. please try to use this space only and if you have two cars one is quite safe on the road.
