Historic Oast house on farm comfortably modernised

The house enjoys glorious views surrounded by open countryside and has a happy atmosphere. It looks onto fields, a lake and beyond these the north downs. There is easy and convenient parking, with many interesting places a short drive away: Hever Castle, Penshurst Place, Chartwell and Groombridge Place plus Lingfield Racecourse. The train service to London is under an hour to Victoria or London Bridge from Edenbridge or Lingfield train stations. This is 16th Century Oast House which has been comfortably converted, with gas central heating, into 3 double bedrooms with 3 bathrooms (one bedroom is on the ground floor with 2 single beds and adjoining shower room). The kitchen/dining room has an electric cooker, washing machine and table to seat 6. A high chair and cot are available when requested. Guests are welcome to walk the ancient woodland and lake areas, with deer, swans and ducks. There is a lawn leading onto a field with a table and chairs. We live in the old farmhouse on the other side of the drive and are therefore available. As well as enjoying this ancient farmstead (where we have lived for 40 years) there are glorious places to visit. Penshurst Place, Hever Castle, Chartwell and Groombridge Place are all within 15 minutes (approx.) drive from here. Gatwick airport is about 25 minutes and Lingfield racecourse 10 minutes. There are trains to and from Victoria and London bridge from Edenbridge and Lingfield run every half hour and take under an hour. This is not an easy place to access without a car.
