Exceptionally beautiful country cottage with 'al freso' jacuzzi also in winter, and heated garden pool (from early spring until end of October) for families, friends travelling together. It has 5 bedrooms for 8-17! people, nice garden, fully equipped kitchen. Palkonya is the prettiest village of the most famous hungarian wine route Villány-Siklós. A beutiful 5 bedroomed country house with nice garden and a heated garden pool and a jacuzzi just for you and your family and friends! In Summer high season only weekly rental, other times minimum 2 nights! Our Ivy Guesthouse is exceptionally beautiful, a protected monument country cottage. It was developed with respect for the architectural heritage of the village from the 18th century, but it is equipped with all comforts. Perfect for big families, friends, from 8- until 17 people! Also recommended with small children as the ground is fenced, and there is a handmade wooden children playground, and baby equipments. Pictures tell the most, pls look at them! I use this house a lot with my own family, so it was built for us. The house has it's soul, it is furnished with new and antique also, and decorated by our souvenirs we brought from our travels from around the world. FREE WIFI in the house! LocaI wines and coffee/tea is also for sale, self service! For request we provide breakfast and also help in wine testing tours. Jacuzzi is working from autumn until summer. Garden pool is working from early spring until late autumn. Self service coffee, local wines in the house. Free wi-fi. Heated outdoor pool from april until october, jacuzzi in winter, children playground. The house is private and self service. If you order homemade village breakfast can be delivered to the house. Owner or other caretaker people than the guests are not present in the house. Of course when guests arrive and while they stay there I provide the keys and help as we can. Owner is reachable on phone. In Palkonya there are several familyrun wineries, fishing lake, and also a farm for watching animals with children, and horse riding. Villány, 5 km away is the center of the wine route, the you will find huge, world class wineries, and quite a few good restaurants also. It`s not only the wineroute, what makes this area special, but walkingroutes, the Danube-Drava National Park, and natural lakes for swimming and fishing, Harkany and Siklós wellness and thermal spas are near. Pécs is a mediterrranean like university town close with lot's of sights, like the UNESCO World Heritage "Early Roman Necropolis", art scene is vivid too. The "3 River" international bike route, which runs along Danube-Drava-Mura rivers goes also through Palkonya. Palkonya is situated on a hill ridge, between 3 fishing lakes, the village has breathtaking panoramic views from the surrounding winehills and forest walking routes. Palkonya is also representing Hungary in the Cultural Village of Europe movement, in 2007 the village hosted the other 12 european villages with many festivities. I recommend to have your own wheels. There is no international airport around. Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport is 200 km. From Budapest you must take a train to Pécs. From there also train or bus. There is bus running to Pécs, the biggest town near, 24 km. Also there is a trainstop at Palkonya going to Villány-Pécs-Mohács-Budapest. Key is in a coded keybox
