Two guest rooms on the ground floor of our beautiful home with exclusive use of a luxury bathroom. Fantastic views from our kitchen and large decking area over the fields, totally secluded. During summer months guests are welcome to use our indoor heated swimming pool, in the detached conservatory. The secure garden is ideal for children, with swings and a trampoline. Our house lies between the villages of Horndean and Catherington, each with great pubs serving home-cooked food and tasty ales. Our peaceful, tastefully decorated home sits in its own gated grounds with ample parking. The bathroom is luxurious and the beds comfortable and warm. Wifi is available throughout the house and guests are free to use our large living room with its 60 inch plasma TV. Our stunning kitchen/family room has fabulous views over the fields. Help yourself to drinks, cereals, a continental or cooked breakfast if we're not at home, or we will be happy to serve you when we're available. From May until October feel free to use the swimming pool, a lovely way to relax after a busy day sightseeing. We both work flexible hours, so are sometimes around during the day, but one of us is always available on our mobiles to help with any queries. We want you to feel welcome and are happy to have a chat (or not if you would rather), but lead busy lives and hope that you'll understand if we need to dash off! Lovely walks close by, through the local wooded nature reserve and across the fields to Catherington, where you will find a picturesque church, lovely thatched cottages and 'The Farmer Inn' which serves home-made food and a selection of traditional ales. Portsmouth is an easy drive away with its interesting naval history and landmarks. It hosts some great shopping opportunities and the well-known Spinnaker Tower, offering wonderful views of the Isle of Wight and surrounding area. Fifteen minutes drive north brings you to the quaint market town of Petersfield, which is well worth a visit. Our home has easy access to the A3M. Queen Elizabeth Country Park's 2000 acre woodland lies 6 miles north, with its popular mountain bike and hiking trails. You can visit Portsmouth dockyard; home to Admirald Lord Nelson's flagship HMS Victory, Henry VIII's Mary Rose and her museum as well as HMS Warrior, the first iron -hulled warship. Close-by you will find the Gunwharf Quays development of designer shops, abundant restaurants and entertainment. To the east the A27 takes you to the ancient city of Chichester, with its cathedral, renowned Goodwood events, nearby harbour and the sandy beaches of West Wittering. To the west along the M27 the New Forest offers a lovely day out. We have a large family of grown-up children who pop in from time to time, as well as our friends. We have plenty of seating areas and so, there is always somewhere private to hang-out. Our two friendly dogs love company, but only have access to certain areas of the house so when you are tired of petting them you can retreat to another room! We'd love you to use our pool from Easter until October, but please supply your own swimming towels.
