My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and big groups. Hayat hotel is a newly refurbished hotel based 1 mile from the market town of Peterlee. The immediate area is a quiet mining village. It is an immaculate, cosy hotel that gives you that welcoming feeling from the get go. You will be greeted warmly by our cordial, well trained staff and will be given a short tour of the premises. Hayat hotel is a budget lodge that consists of two floors which contain 18 well furnished rooms. The rooms contain bespoke furniture and extremely cosy beds. All rooms also contain a flat screen LED TV with Freeview. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. The hotel also has free Wi-Fi coverage across the premises so you can stay connected at all times. Served every morning is our Continental breakfast served in the main lounge. The lounge also contains sofas and coffee tables along with a large 4K TV. The nearby area is packed with large industrial estates which contain major manufacturing plants such as Caterpillar, NSK etc. The large market town of Peterlee has a large Asda supermarket and many retail chains such as Argos, Sports direct, Costa’s and Wilkinson’s to fulfil all your shopping needs. Transport to Peterlee couldn’t be simpler; the 22 or 24 bus services go straight into the town centre. 6 miles east of the hotel is the historical city of Durham. This thriving city is packed with historical locations such as castles and the iconic Durham cathedral. Maybe the most important aspect of the city is the brilliant Durham university which is ranked in the top 5 universities every single year. Conveniently, the hotel is just 5 minutes from the A19 dual carriageway thus allowing direct travel to major cities such as Sunderland and Newcastle. Also nearby is the newly developed Dalton Park. This is a large shopping centre that contains many clothing chains along with coffee shops and several food chains such as McDonalds, KFC, Frankie & Bennies etc. Dalton park also contains a brand new Cineworld cinema.
