This superb self contained en-suite bed sitting room is open to the garden and feels very comfortable. There are beds for up to 3 guests. It has amenities for you to be self catering during your stay. I provide teas, coffee etc and breakfast items of your choice. The kitchen items are as listed. Dish washing equipment is provided. Stranraer is on the beautiful Scottish coast and near the Cairnryan/Ireland ferry. Suitable for students or home workers as good Wi-fi. Longer termers welcome. This room has its own entrance through the garden which has mature trees for shade, shelter and privacy. There are areas for wildlife and fruit and vegetables. The path to the entrance is paved and there are steps up to it. It is an ensuite room with single bed and sofa bed. This suits a single traveller or one traveling with an understanding friend, partner or child. Three adults could stay but probably only for a short time. We are applying upgraded disinfection principles due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Two ways. One come when we are able to greet you at the front door and show you into your accommodation. Or You will be given a key safe code to gain entrance to this separate part of a house on confirming arrival time. You will need to walk around to your own door, find the key and use it to enter. Parking is on the drive in front of the house leaving enough space for us to access the car in the garage. We usually like to meet you when you come. If you arrive late or leave early that is fine. Any questions are best through Airbnb. There are no other guests other than you and your group in the garden room. The accommodation is set up for you to be independent of us in main house. Please let us know before you book if you are arriving from a Coronavirus countries or where there is a possibility of you having been in contact with people who have Coronavirus. As a health service worker I need to know but am also aware of your accommodation needs. Thanks. This is a residential area of Stranraer but close to lovely hills and a short 5 minutes walk to the beach and loch. It takes 20minutes to walk into town. The town centre has some fabulous places to enjoy coffee and meals from posh to great fish and chips. A local hotel has a swimming pool and fitness suite. There is a great municipal swimming and sport facility too. This is the undiscovered gem of Scotland with great beaches, lighthouses, sea food restaurants, walks. The Mountains of Mourne put in an appearance often from the coast looking to the Emerald Isle. There is a local ‘West End’ bus service with close by stop. The buses run twice an hour. The buses pass by at 5 minutes past and 25 minutes to the hour, though they can be 5 minutes within this time. This is the west end route and get off at the Spring Bank Road stop. Taxis are readily available though no Uber’s. The radiators can be turned up or down by their individual thermostats. Windows can be opened and fixed at 1cm. If you are staying a while please note rubbish collection is on Monday. One week this is recycling and the next is general. Each week food waste is collected on a Monday. I provide green food waste bags for you. Place these in the green box outside the main back door. Thanks. This should be in the green food recycling bags provided. General waste bags can be put in the outside grey box or the grey wheelie bin. Recycling materials- paper, cardboard goes into the blue lid wheelie while cleaned plastic bottles and tubs with the plastic films removed and washed out cans go into the red lid wheelie. You could place these in the black box on your step as an interim measure. I will empty this at the end of your stay if it is there. As I discount the longer term guests substantially I provide a starter pack for them with their choice of beverages and breakfast items. This only a starter pack for them. During Covid Pandemic I am not allowed into the room to clean or change sheets. I have provided a plastic box for you to put your used sheeting and towels into. Let me know when you have left this box at the main back door and I will launder them. The room has a change of sheets and towels in the cupboard. Personal laundry can be done for £2 per wash.
