Perfect for two, ideally located in the lovely coastal village of Wiveton in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Everything you would expect from first class accommodation including sunny garden and private off road parking. Recently renovated, Butterflies is just for a couple and is a light, airy, large luxury one bedroom cottage. Located in the centre of Wiveton Village within easy walking distance of an award winning pub or the delightful Wiveton Farm Cafe. Ideally located for many walks to either the coast or the Wiveton Downs. Inside this pretty cottage, on the first floor, you will find the bedroom with a King Size bed and a separate large dressing room as well as a good size shower room with a newly fitted large modern shower. Downstairs is a well-equipped kitchen with a granite and oak worktops, dishwasher and vintage touches such as shelving made from old train shelf brackets. There is also an open plan seating area with a large comfortable sofa, a dining table with stylish chairs and a wood burner. TV, DVD, Radio/CD player as well as fast WiFI is provided. Downstairs there is also a cloakroom that houses a washer dryer. A new heating system provides you with hot water and warmth throughout the whole of the cottage. From the sitting room, there are French doors leading onto a delightful, private sunny garden (garden furniture provided). At the front of the cottage is a large private parking space, suitable for all sizes of vehicles. Overall the cottage has been thoughtfully renovated with light and natural palettes of colour, quality furniture and objects of interest, for example, Norfolk historical agricultural tools. "With so much to do, we haven't used the car since we got here." Guests will have sole access to the entire property including the private garden and large off street parking. The owner will always be available by phone or email to assist you during your stay. Slow You Down – This is the first sign you see as you enter Wiveton and while not an order, it sets the scene for the rest of your stay. Wiveton village positioned on the River Glaven between Cley and Blakeney is a hidden gem on the North Norfolk coast. It was once a thriving port in the medieval period with small reminders such as grooves cut into the stonework at the back of the delightful St Mary the Virgin Church, where traders ships would once have been moored. From Butterflies you can explore the surrounding area by foot or short car rides. Within walking distance are coastal paths which link up the villages of Cley and Blakeney. Take time to stroll to the Cley Smoke House or Deli and relax with a coffee at Artemis enjoying great views over the marshes. Also Butterflies is within walking distance of Cley Marshes and the recently built North Norfolk Wildlife Trust centre where you can enjoy the spectacular views over the marshes. The bird reserve is the oldest in the country and home to birds such as avocet, bittern and spoonbill. Further afield but only 4 miles away is the delightful market town of Holt, where you can stroll through the narrow shopping lanes and explore the different specialist shops and antique centres. From Holt you can take in the coastal views from North Norfolk Railways steam train to the traditional Victorian Seaside town of Sheringham. Closer back to home you can enjoy a walk via the Wiveton Downs to Blakeney to explore the villages small local shops and quay. Why not rest on the way back to Butterflies at the Wiveton Farm Cafe where you can have lunch or a cream tea while taking in the fabulous sea views. Finally you can still leave your car at home when visiting the award winning Wiveton Bell pub and restaurant which is only 5 minutes walk from Butterflies. Visitors tend to enjoy local walks or use a car for exploring the wider area. There is though the 'Coastal Hopper' which is a regular service along the coast road between Cromer and Wells Next - the - Sea. The local stop is 5 minutes walk from Butterflies Cottage.
