Our beautiful, contemporary house is on the edge of a small village; great restaurants, cafes, farmshops etc nearby . Walks from the doorstep. Good public transport links. 2 rooms available (price per room) and we welcome couples, individuals, and families. Travel cots & high chair available. One small, well-behaved dog welcome if they get along with our own dogs. Simple, healthy breakfast included (cereals, pastries, coffee, tea). Cafes nearby for cooked breakfast if wanted (closed Sundays) Our detached house is just 10 years old and we love it here! 2 bedrooms available - 1 king and 1 twin room - on the 2nd floor with access to a private (guests only) bathroom, with bath and shower. Wi-fi and internet enabled TVs in each bedroom. From the doorstep, there are walks into the woods, hills and valleys; accessing the gorgeous local countryside could not be easier. One small dog welcome, as long as they are well-behaved and will get on with our very friendly cocker spaniels, Billy & Tasha. They love visitors as much as we do. Our living space is on the first floor and guests are welcome to share this space with us - our kitchen can be used to make coffee tea etc. We also have a 2nd lounge on the ground floor that can be used by guests for relaxing - this also has cinema room facilities. Guests won't have cooking facilities but as mentioned there are plenty of nice places to eat nearby. We'll be around when you stay with us. There are excellent restaurants and cafes within walking distance and even more if you want to drive a short distance. There are three excellent pubs nearby; 2 restaurants; Italian tapas bar and Spanish tapas/wine bar. We're happy to give you advice about the local area and we have walking books and maps available to loan. We provide cereals and toast for breakfast but a cooked breakfast is available in the village (except Sundays) - just 5 mins walk from the house. Our village is a lovely, rural community with lots going on. We have an award winning restaurant, "Mustard and Punch" 5 mins walk away (booking required), two wine bars (one Italian and one serving excellent tapas), a gin bar, pubs that do great food, one doubles as an Indian fusion restaurant. There are also an Indian restaurant and 2 cafes. Plenty of shops and 2 parks, as well as lots of country walks - in woodland, over hills or by the river. We are close to Holmfirth, location of many festivals and "Last of the Summer Wine". Access to and from the M62 and M1 is very easy and there is loads to do in the area. 10 min taxi from Huddersfield train station. Huddersfield train station is just 10 mins by car. Rail network direct to Manchester and Leeds is excellent and there is a bus service at the end of our road. Local taxi services are plentiful, good and cheap We have two well-behaved dogs - Billy & Tasha (cocker spaniels). They're very friendly but will go away if you ask them to! We're in a very quiet location, but access to amenities is easy - best of all worlds.
