Luxury cottage in the Peak District National Park

Delightful cosy cottage in the heart of Peak District. The Cowshed is situated at Back Tor Farm, Edale. We welcome all enquiries of three nights or more but do prefer Friday changeover dates. Set within the National Park in 5 acres of peaceful farmland and located below the Great Ridge between Mam Tor and Lose Hill. The Cowshed at Back Tor Farm is a great place to come to relax and get away from it all. With panoramic views of Kinder Scout, these freshly converted Derbyshire barns offer contemporary, yet cosy accommodation and all the modern comforts of under floor heating, individual bathrooms and highest quality linen. The Cowshed sleeps up to 4 people. There is a king size bedroom with adjacent family bathroom and a twin/superking size room with ensuite. Travel cot and high chair available on request (guest to bring own bedding). The well equipped kitchen has a dining table large enough to seat 6. The lounge has a log burner, smart TV and doors leading out onto the patio area. We also have another cottage 'The Nook' which sleeps 2. Combined bookings are welcome and discounts may be offered. The location is perfect for walking and cycling, visiting Chatsworth and National Trust properties all year round. Nearby Edale village (the starting point of the Pennine way) has pubs, cafes and a small shop. Parking for up to two cars is available (please enquire if you would like us to accommodate a third). Neil, Naomi & their German Shepherd (Sheba) live next door in the farmhouse and make themselves available to assist with any enquiries or problems that may arise. There are two pubs and two cafes within walking distance of Back Tor Farm. The Rambler and The Nags Head are both situated about one mile from Back Tor Farm. The Edale valley offers multiple outdoor activities including hiking, cycling, mountain biking & climbing. Edale is also home to the start of the 268 mile Pennine Way. Edale railway station is approximately 1 mile from Back Tor Farm. This provides easy transport links to Sheffield, Manchester & Manchester Intl Airport. There are two cottages at Back Tor Farm - They are not attached but are fairly close to one another. Please respect our other guests. Car Parking area & laundry room are a shared facility.
