Brattleby Wild Camping
Low Trace, Wild Camp Stay, also Camper Van hard standing, located just off the B1398, facilities in a farm yard, ideal for a relaxed stay. Toilet, water and kitchen area and bath, charged £1 per bath. Electric point by arrangement. Good pub 1 mile away, several others within 3 miles. We also have a Woodcutters hut available. Drive is opposite the only Bus Shelter and Post Box in the village, on the main road, if lost ask for Brattleby House Jonathan Wright is my Dad! This site is ideal for wild camping, a fire pit is available for a camp fire, please bring your own tent or camper van. There is a grass area, also a concrete area in a farm yard, near to toilet and bathroom, electric hook up by arrangement for camper vans. This is a great stop over site or a holiday destination, there are some lovely walks from the farm and gardens round the house and lots of history nearby. I dont have (or want) a mobile phone, please be aware but do try the landline number. Lots of history here, main house was used in WW2 by the RAF to house Dambuster pilots and staff, Guy Gibson was stationed here for a while and the house is briefly mentioned in his book, there are also ancient burial mounds listed on the O.S. map very near by and the remains of a medieval water mill. Some good walks on the farm which has an environmental scheme with grass margins and willow fields. 103 bus goes between the village and L:incoln every 2 hours during the day. Go for a good walk round the church and fields. The sun sets are amazing here and there are sheep and horses grazing on the farm. Anyone who likes weeding is welcome to have a go!
