Nineteenth century house with a private garden located in South Lake District a few minutes from Haverthwaite Steam Railway, Newby Bridge, Lake Windermere and Lake Coniston. In the historical former shipping village of Greenodd, which has a popular butchers, bakers, village shop, and two pubs (one which brews its own ale). There are several walks from the house to the amazing forests surrounding the village. The river running through the village flows into the River Leven and out to sea. You are only a few minutes drive from the fells and footpaths of south Lakeland, with only a short drive to Lake Coniston which has access for boating. The whole house has been recently renovated and furnished to a modern and bright style. The house is on a hillside with stunning views to the forests that surround the village. There is a brand new full central heating system to keep you warm all year round. There is a large bright lounge, leading through to the dining room, and a fully fitted new kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms. In the lounge the is a large sofa with two side chairs and a window seat. There are hundreds of books of all varieties to read. The 42inch Samsung TV comes with Netflix and Amazon Prime, and it also has a DVD player. There is a CD player with radio that can also be used with any device with a headphone socket. The six-seater dining table is next to the window with lovely views to the hills beyond. The kitchen has a brand new Bosch cooker and Belling hob, and a brand new large Kenwood fridge freezer. There is a Bosch washing machine and a dishwasher. The sitting/dining room has a large sofa. Bookcase with even more books. There is an open fireplace. All the bedrooms have antistatic hypoallergenic bio memory foam mattresses with soft comfort white Mitre linen. There are a variety of pillows so you can find the best combination for a restful night's sleep. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. All bedrooms come with plenty of drawer storage and wardrobes. Both bedrooms have wonderful hillside views to the forests. The bathroom upstairs has a bath with shower, wc and basin. To the rear there is an enclosed large hillside garden with paved sections to sit and enjoy the garden. There is a deck at the top of the garden with table and chairs to enjoy the views. The garden is full of large mature trees and shrubs. The trees are mostly evergreen so whatever time of year you come you will see lots of green trees and shrubs. In the spring the cherry blossom comes out and many of the Acer's have beautiful coloured leaves, and in Autumn the Acers puts on an amazing display of red leaves. Dogs are welcome. The house is on a hillside with access to the house through the garden which is immediately to the left of the village hall. There are around 30 steps from the road to the house. The house has unlimited fast fibre wifi (30-40 MBit/sec download, 8 Mbit/sec upload) with a strong signal in all rooms.
