Tranquil Cotswold Wash House Cottage

The Cotswold Wash House nestles in the slopes of the Windrush Valley on the edge of Great Rissington. The village has a manor, church and inn; all the charm of a bygone age. The compact cottage combines antique furniture with modern interior design. You'll find a super kingsize bed with crisp, white 800 thread Egyptian cotton bed linen. The kitchen is fully equipped. While some Covid-19 measures are still in place we only supply individually wrapped basics (tea, coffee, milk, butter, jam). This is a fully converted Wash House that once served a three hundred year old house. It's made of honeyed Cotswold stone and is set in the heart of our tranquil village. Made for two! The rear windows look out onto an orchard and the front have stunning views down the Windrush Valley. Paved terrace in front of the cottage and front lawn shared with the main house. Our house is next door so we are usually around. We can leave you in peace but just knock on our door if you need anything. This is the Golden Mile of the Cotswolds. There are country walks from your front door; river banks and villages of honeyed stone. Popular destinations include: Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh as well as beautiful smaller villages like the Slaughters and Bibury. We are 5 miles from Kingham railway station which is on the Worcester and Hereford line to Paddington. There is a Cotswold bus service from Heathrow that will drop off in the village. The nearest shop is a mile's walk. We welcome a well-behaved dog
