Stylish Two Bedroom Barn with Private Hot Tub
Amba Barn at Clopton Courtyard is a beautiful two bedroom single floor barn conversion, which overlooks a tranquil courtyard in the heart of the Cambridgeshire Countryside. A short walk across the courtyard leads to a private hot tub, access to a wonderful BBQ area and gorgeous views of the countryside from the back of the property, making this is a perfect place to relax and unwind. With Cambridge just 20 minutes away by car, Amba Barn provides an excellent spot from which to explore the city. Clopton Courtyard is set in the midst of the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. The six barns have been built with an eco conscience, with timber frame structures and recycled building materials. They are also fuelled by a biomass boiler using renewable energy (which keeps the underfloor heating toasty warm). Each main barn has its own unique name, character and style, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an open plan living area and kitchen. Matilda Studio offers open plan living and sleeping, while The Sheringham Hut provides a contemporary glamping space. There is also plenty of outdoor space in which to venture and relax, with lovely undisturbed views of the open countryside. You can sit and watch the horses in the livery next door or read a book in the sun trap courtyard. With Cambridge only 12 miles away (15-20 minute drive), it is easy access into the centre by car for those wanting to explore this historic city, but looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday or work environment. There is also plenty to do locally, with Burwash Manor and Wimpole Hall close by, along with lots of tasty gastro pubs. Clopton Courtyard is fully equipped for those looking for self catering accommodation but who want a little bit of extra luxury and peace. What makes this place special is the unique nature of the interiors, which have been designed to provide premium accommodation in a rural setting. Whether a bath in the bedroom, beautiful sliding barn doors, or a wet room, there is something to suit everyones' tastes and requirements. For more information, please get in touch and we'll be happy to help. We look forward to welcoming you to Clopton Courtyard and hope you like the barns as much as we do. Private hot tub located under the dutch barn, a short walk across the courtyard. We don't live at the barns but are available over the phone during your stay. In case of emergency we can come out to the barns. We are a 30 minute drive away by car (unless we are away for the weekend). We do have neighbours so ask that guests are respectful of this during their stay. Duncan is there during the day from Monday - Friday (except Wednesdays). We are very rural so it is lovely and quiet. A car is advisable or taxis will also pick up. Clopton Courtyard is 10 minutes from Royston, which has a large Tesco for all your shopping needs. If you prefer something a bit more special than Burwash Manor has a lovely farm shop and is around 10 minutes by car. Cambridge of course is a must see city and there is plenty to do there. There is a wonderful walk called The Clopton Way, which is a path of Anglo-Saxon origin. It offers amazing views over much of south west Cambridgeshire. People feeling adventurous can walk all the way to the beautiful Wimpole Estate, which is a National Trust property with a farm and lovely gardens to explore. Please contact us for more information. We are 10 minutes drive from Royston Station, and 20 minutes from Cambridge Station. Trains from London Liverpool Street and London Kings Cross are frequent to both stations. Please note that we have an 11pm outside curfew. Therefore, any evening socialising must take place inside after this point, with windows and doors shut. This is to avoid other guests being disturbed and also to ensure the nighttime is peaceful for the horses in the livery and our next door neighbours who are elderly. We do not under any circumstances allow outdoor music or PAs at any time during the day or evening. If these rules are broken and we receive complaints from other guests or neighbours regarding your group, an immediate £50 fee will be charged. A £40 fee will also apply if our check out instructions are not followed and any excess cleaning is required. We have had problems in the past with guests not following these rules so now feel it is important to share this in advance. Please share with the rest of your group to ensure everyone is made aware of these policies. We want everyone to enjoy themselves but it is essential that all guests have a lovely stay, whether they want peace or wish to celebrate. And we must respect our neighbours.
