In addition, nice restaurants are located in nearby New Castle (3 miles). Our fee structure is as follows: One to four guests are charged the nightly rate . Each guest over four is charged an additional $20/guest/night, up to eight guests total. Infants UNDER ONE YEAR are not charged and do not add to the guest total. Our log cabin is a private 1400 square foot guest house which we designed and built ourselves and is located about 200 feet east of the main house. The antique furnishings are from Margo's childhood home in Missouri. With two bedrooms, two baths, fully furnished kitchen, living room, and laundry, it is a perfect retreat for a girls' getaway or family retreat. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, a single bed, and a single foldout couch. Adjoining is a bathroom with a shower. Downstairs is a bedroom with a brass double bed and a single bed. The living room couch folds out into a comfortable queen bed. Relax in the clawfoot tub in the downstairs bath. Enjoy the ambiance of the gas fireplace in winter and the cool comfort of air conditioning in summer. The guest house also has free wifi and satellite television. wifi is free but reception is not reliable We are usually available in person since we are retired and live on the property and are always accessible by cell-phone. If you like, we would love to meet you and hear about your travels. We have lived in Peach Valley for 44 years. It is a special place which we are always eager to share. Located off I-70 west of Glenwood Springs and east of Grand Junction (70 miles), it is rural, but not really off the beaten path. Peach Valley Retreat could be a central base camp for all Western Colorado adventures: There is world class climbing at Rifle Mountain Park a few miles west of us, wineries to explore in Palisade (Grand Junction) as well as the Colorado National Monument. The bicycling around here is great, not to mention the hunting, fishing (Gold Medal Waters), and cross country skiing. Of course the downhill skiing and snowboarding is superb and easily accessible: Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek all less than an hour and a half away. We also have Sunlight Resort, our local best kept secret, affordable and close. You can also just enjoy the sunsets and night sky from the porch swing.
