Set back from the road. Built circa 1750, this traditional timber framed cottages has been carefully renovated and fitted out to a high standard to offer comfortable accommodation whilst retaining many original features such as oak beams, wattle and daub walls and a bread oven. One of two adjoining cottages available to rent. No 8 sleeps up to 4 people and is available for stays of 3 nights or more. Because of the limitations on how we can set prices on this site please ask for a quote for short stays of between 4-6 nights so that we can apply a discount. It has central heating throughout. On the ground floor the living/dining room has a large open fire, perfect for cosy winter evenings. The well equipped kitchen also has a microwave, freezer and washing machine. On the first floor there are two bedrooms. The double has views to the front and the twin bedroom view to the back both over open fields. Blackout blinds are fitted at the windows. Also on the first floor is a good size bathroom with bath and walk in shower. At the back is a small enclosed (with a low fence) garden set out with garden and chairs where you can enjoy the fabulous view over open farmland. The village has a family and dog friendly pub which serves good food. and a good local shop where basic supplies can be bought. Both are within a short walk from the cottages.
