Oostknollendam, just 20 minutes by car or 45 minutes with public transportation from Amsterdam or Alkmaar. Your private cottage is located at the waterfront inbetween river Zaan and nationalpark Wormer & Jisperveld. If you like the Dutch country side, this is your opportunity! Our cottage located in the backyard and at the waterfront is your private house. You get your own key and you are totaly free to enter and to leave whenever you want. The cottage offers you all the things you need for your stay. In case of help we are there to support you. We offer you free transportation from and to the railwaystation in Wormerveer in case you missed the bus. Other services we offer to our guests are access to fast & free Internet, bike rentals, tourist trips by boat to Zaanseschans or Alkmaar, restaurant bookings, large collection of DVD's, etc. Oostknollendam is a very small village. It does not have any facilities to offer but you can hear and visit the birds in the nationalpark next to the mainstreet. The cottage lies next to some private houses. Oostknollendam can be reached by public transportation but only on working days or on Saturday till 18:00 hours. If you plan to come by train (20 minutes from Amsterdam or Alkmaar) and you missed bus 414, just give us a call and we will get you at the railway station of Wormerveer. You can also take rent a bike (€ 12,50 per day per person). Parking is free and for electric cars we offer a powerplug (16A) and we have a facility for boats (max. depth 1.5 mtrs). The nearest by shop is 5 minutes by car. Bring in some groceries for your own convenience.
