Be our guest This small, authentic castle anno 1634 is definitely an experience on its own “Hidden" in the rural village of Clemency, it is the “real thing” for recollection and retreat. Your generous private spaces, proposing all the facilities, radiates an atmosphere of serenity and calmness. The castle is located in the middle of the Luxembourgish countryside. It is the ideal “Base Camp” for your excursions into nature as well as your visits to Luxembourg city and Esch-sur-Alzette. The ’20’will be your generous "Loft" included : big bedroom / living room / office space and your private bathroom This ’20 space immerses you in the "modern times" atmosphere of the first half of the 20th century. The main room with its brushed aluminium floor and the period technical elements form an integral part of the decor recall the machines, cars, liners of the past and draw you into the "golden age of travel". The bathroom, inspired by a painting by Caspar David Friedrich, the “Sea of Ice”, is a nod to the icebergs that marked the end of the famous Titanic. Sitting in the the original deckchair in the front of the castle window, is the perfect place for reflection & more. Private space: With a surface of 30 sqm, "Les années 20" is composed as following: Sleeping area with a double bed “Captain’s” desk and seating area “Sea of Ice” bathroom with an “Italian” shower, sink and toilet Shared spaces: “Bei der Giedel” Kitchen (fully equipped) with his bar/comptoir Back kitchen with a dishwasher Dining/meeting/library room Hall and a period staircase with the portrait gallery “Welcome” terrace under the old trees in front of the castle “Hidden” Terrace with a water feature with his wooden floor Laundry room 2 separate toilets Free parking behind the castle Bicycle storage Good to know that our castle has 4 atypical rooms with each their own theme: The Sherlock The Peggy's The Tribute Meet people Do you like fellowship and communication? The composition in terms of interior architecture (by Pascal Zimmer &Co) is mainly focused on the creation of ambiances. All the spaces have been arranged in a conceptual way to allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of an era. The furnishing (contemporary furniture in harmony with antiques) have been picked from all over the world which underlines the theme of each space. The castle is hidden in a small street next to the church. There is a free parking behind te castle. Public transport is for free in Luxemburg. There is a busstop 50 meters from the castle. Mayke is ‘at your service’ to optimize your stay (places to visit, good addresses, insider informations & more….) Château de Clémency provides you with a full equipped kitchen and a dining room for your ‘in-house’ breakfast and meals. It is good to know that a bakery / grocery store is 50m from the Château. They are open Monday till Friday from 06.00 am till 20.00 pm. On Saturdays from 06.00 am till 18.00 pm. Sundays they are closed. Buy local oblige! Located between Luxembourg-city and Esch/s/Alzette ( both at 20min ) the Castel is the perfect "base camp" to discover Luxembourg’s west countryside with the lake of Esch/s/sûre, the great forests in this area and the Belgium borders.
