Secluded annex, next to beautiful woodland

'The Old Stables' is a cosy and comfortable annex is situated at the edge of Wombwell woods. Newly redecorated throughout in December 2020, the one bedroom accommodation has central heating, wood burning stove and a separate lounge area and kitchen, complete with modern appliances and TV. The annex also has a bathroom with toilet, wash basin and bath. The annex is situated adjacent to our family home, 'Woodleigh' and guests are welcome to enjoy and use our stunning gardens. The annex is the converted stable block of the main house but is decorated in a contemporary style but with traditional features including exposed beams, stone floor and exposed brickwork. It is central heated and has its own modern kitchen area and bathroom. Kitchen area includes kettle, toaster, grill, microwave, hob, fridge and cooking and dining equipment (no oven). Bathroom comprises of a toilet, bath and wash basin (no shower). The lounge area also has a cosy wood burning stove and sofa bed. The annex is situated in a courtyard to the rear of the main house, but is very private and has its own secure parking. The house is situated at the edge of Wombwell Woods, an extremely beautiful and vast woodland with many trails to explore, with a fishing lake at the heart of the wood. Guests are also invited to use and enjoy our 2 acre mature gardens which has various seating areas for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You can have as much or as little contact with us during your stay as you like. Once you arrive, we will show you around, give you your key, then leave you to relax or enjoy and explore the beautiful countryside and woodland. The property is situated in a secluded spot in beautiful countryside, next to vast woodland. However, there are shops and pubs around half a mile away and you are also close to major transport routes and amenities, as needed. Situated half a mile from rail and bus links with easy access to Barnsley, Sheffield and Leeds. Sheffield is accessible in 10 minutes by rail, and Leeds 20 minutes by rail. Barnsley town centre is only 5 minutes away by bus or rail. Situated 5 minutes away from junction 36 of the M1 by car. There is one double bed in the bedroom area but the sofa in the lounge is also a double sofa bed and we can provide a travel cot for families. Please let me know what additional beds, linen etc you will require at the time of booking. We do provide free and unlimited wifi. The annex has its own internet connection, separate to the main house. Guests can also enjoy 2 acres of private gardens at the property, and make use of and enjoy these during your stay. At time of booking, ask me about booking Afternoon Tea at Woodleigh! We offer beautiful vintage themed afternoon teas at our adjacent property Woodleigh. Teas are served either in the garden or in our dining room and are bookable at an additional cost.
