Shem Farm is a place to get away from it all, enjoy nature, breathtaking views of Negev´s mountains, and feel as though you are on a retreat. A rich (Email hidden by Airbnb) e kiss a goat and hug a horse! We have a beautiful farm, surrounded by forest, mountains and a lot of nature. It is located on an area of 4000 dunams designated for grazing and indeed there is a herd of about 300 sheep who enjoy these lands. Also, you can find geese, chickens, dogs, peacocks and all kinds of reptiles. Our place is self-contained with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay: wood stove, kitchen, gas stoves, refrigerator, cooking utensils, twinkly lights inside and out, a porch and a balcony. * Prepare to be in close contact with nature and away from internet connectivity (only by phone). We'll do our best to help you plan your stay and day trips in the Negev and the south of Israel. The Farm is 5 min driving or 20 min walk from a community village - Meitar, where you can find a supermarket, bank, post office, pizza, falafel etc. We have several restaurants and pubs 15 min away in Be'er Sheva. There are several biking/hiking routes around our Farm and in the woods. Just bring your bike with you. It is also close to Masada and the Dead Sea. Less than an hour and a half from Tel Aviv. The best way to arrive our Farm is to have your own car, but you can plan to come on a bus. There are buses to Meytar (the closest city) several times a day from the nearby town of Be'er Sheva (50 minutes ride by a bus). Be'er Sheva, is well connected to Haifa and Tel-Aviv by Train and public buses and local taxis. Our farm is located within the nature reserve of the Meitar forest and at the entrance to the reserve, there is an electric gate, for your safety. In the middle of the week, the gate is open from the early morning until 5 pm. The rest of the time and on weekends, the gate can be opened by a phone call to the security center. Another option to open the gate is to send me a message and I will open it for you from a distance. Also, another entrance to the farm does not require passage through the gate but it extends the driving by 3 km. Nightly pricing is estimated on a per bed basis. Unauthorized guests are strictly prohibited. Pets are allowed but please give us a heads up because we charge a small pet fee.
