Stone house inside the castle in front of the sea

A small diamond is hidden in one of the most enchanting destinations of Greece. The house is located on the southwest side of the historical castle of Monemvasia, right before the wall with an amazing view to the open sea. It is 120m² with two bedrooms, a comfortable living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a lovely terrace which oversees the Aegean. Here you can enjoy an unforgettable experience in a relaxing time travel into the medieval spirit, combined with all modern comforts! After you enter the main door there is a small hall and a ladder through which you access the upper floor. There you can find the living room, with a big couch, a working table and several armchairs lying in front of the fireplace. Also, the living room has a wooden balcony with beautiful view to the sea. The kitchen is equipped with a cooker, a fridge, a coffee maker and all the cooking vessels that you may need to prepare your own food. On each side of the kitchen, there is a bedroom. The right one has a reposeful double bed and big comfortable closet to store your personal stuff. The left one has a bed little bigger than semi-double (120 cm) but is more romantic and cozy. Moreover, on the left side of the kitchen, there is a wooden door that leads to the terrace. There you can find a small table, a sofa and some chairs where you can rest ( in the summer morning and midday hours, when there is a lot of heat, I would avoid resting there). Finally, in each bedroom and in the livingroom there is an air condition. Each part of the house will be accessible by my guests. Unfortunately, I no longer spend time in Monemvasia due to professional reasons, however, I am always available through phone or mail for anything you may need. Also, there is a housekeeper who I can address for your best service. Monemvasia is one of the last castles that is still inhabited. It is ideal for all kinds of visitors that want to relax and enjoy high-quality vacations. Families and couples could find a small heaven here but it is equally suitable for groups of friends. The castle has preserved its medieval style but is has also been enriched with café-bars, restaurants and various gift shops, without losing the slightest of its majestic aura. The castle town is divided into two segments. The upper one is located on top of the mountain and it includes old Byzantine structures and churches, and the other one is on the foothill barricaded behind the stone walls and it includes the inhabited area. You can reach Monemvasia with a bus from Athens. After you reach the town there is a small bus that departs every thirty minutes for the castle. Even though there is a bus to transfer you, I recommend you (except the first time that you will have your luggage with you) to walk this route, especially the evening when the sun is setting behind the city. If you have your own car you can park it all the way along, from the city till the castle. Also, if you have your own car, it would be a very nice experience to visit the fjord in the Gerakas village few miles from the castle or the Elafonisos( about an hour away ), a Greek island with Caribbean characteristics and beauty. I used to spent my summers in this house, so I am very emotionally connected with it. For this, I would kindly ask for all my guest to respect the house and treat it, as it was their own.
