The Coach House, Little Abington.

The Coach House is a detached 2 bed property within the grounds of our family home. Refurbished to a high standard and retaining original features, it offers comfortable accommodation for up to 4 guests. Perfectly located close to the city of Cambridge, Granta Park, Addenbrookes and Babraham Research Institute as well as Newmarket and within easy reach of London by road or train. Our local village has a wonderful pub serving delicious Thai food and ales, as well as a shop with post office. The Coach House is adjacent to our home and shares our back courtyard. You will have your own access to the Coach House and parking space for 2 cars. There is a bedroom on the ground floor with a brass king-size bed, double wardrobe and bedside tables and chandelier. Upstairs (via a spiral staircase) is a double bed with chest of drawers, hanging rail and bedside tables and a separate WC with sink. Accessed from the upstairs bedroom is a closed-in mezzanine space overlooking the downstairs living area. The dining/living area is stunning with exposed brick walls, log burner, TV and DVD, dining table seating 6, 1 armchair, comfy modular sofa and large windows overlooking the swimming pool and fields and french windows looking onto the courtyard. The separate kitchen is fully fitted with full sized fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, butler sink and dishwasher. Also downstairs is the bathroom consisting of bath with shower over, sink and toilet. There is underfloor heating in the bathroom, kitchen and hallway and central heating throughout. A washing machine is available for your use too. The price is for use of the ground floor amenities and bedroom only. If you wish to use the upstairs bedroom it's an additional £20 per night. You may use the terrace with seating area at the back of the Coach House overlooking the pool (but not the pool itself). I'm around most days to help with any queries you may have. The Abingtons are 2 villages with a great community feel. There are plenty of walks in the area, a park and children’s playground, the river to walk alongside, fantastic pub and brilliant shop! Access to Cambridge and Newmarket is easy from here too. Bus route 13 into Cambridge or Haverhill. Nearest mainline train into London Liverpool Street is Whittlesford. Several local taxi firms nearby. Park and Ride for Cambridge is 7 mins drive away. DOG We have a pet dog who is around most of the time - she is friendly but may bark at first! CHICKENS & EGGS! We have 6 chickens so the eggs in your fridge are fresh from our own hens! Feel free to pop over and say hello to Barbara, Thelma, Phyllis, Mary, Jane & Penny!
