Jinja BaseCamp - Forest House

Forest House is situated at Jinja BaseCamp, which is in a secluded and quiet neighbourhood of Jinja. We have some of the tallest Royal Palm trees in Jinja which provide the perfect home for our colony of African Grey Parrots. We also have a lovely swimming pool on the property and a small and private restaurant housed under a thatched boma. All prices include a basic breakfast and our restaurant is also open from 10.00 til 14.00 daily for quick meals, made with the freshest ingredients. Dinner can also be ordered with prior arrangement. Our swimming pool is available for all guests to use and we also offer a delicious Sunday Brunch with house specialties made from freshly sourced and grown organic products. All guests will be met by the host and shown their rooms / cottage. There is always someone on hand to answer any questions, or provide suggestions on what to do in Jinja. Our neighbourhood is quiet with large trees and wide roads, providing a wonderful opportunity for walking and birding. There is a lovely Italian restaurant within walking distance from us. We are a short walk into downtown Jinja or take a "boda-boda" (small owner-driven motorbike taxi) for a quicker alternative. Nile River Explorers start their rafting experience from our restaurant every morning. Guests are very welcome to book a rafting trip or kayaking trip which is certainly one of the best outdoor activities on offer in Jinja and without doubt, the best way to see and experience the beauty of the Nile River!
