Hut in the Vines

Hunker down for a unique rural getaway experience at Hut in the Vines. Discreetly nestled at the back end of or tiny vineyard, which is now in its 4th year of production, and very private. Our home is 70 metres away but your space is private with a view down the vineyard. Outside, there is a traditional, wood-burning hot tub, covered eating area with bbq and wood-fired, table-top pizza oven and an electric wall heater….all lit with festoon lighting. Imagine your own little private space, set amongst the vines where your every need is met for a unique stay in the countryside. Escaping the chaos of everyday life. The countryside is peaceful and positive and free from the distractions of technology and Hut in the Vines is just the place to wind down. Welcoming and comfortable with a plush, wool mattress (double bed) and wood-burning stove. Every attempt has been made to combine modern convenience with authentic touches such as a full sized under-counter fridge sitting comfortably with exposed copper plumbing pipes and traditional enamel basin in the en-suite shower room. We have a great little hobbit wood-burner for those chilly spring and autumn evenings too. The en-suite bathroom has a full sized shower, enamel hand basin and traditional high level cistern loo. WE WILL HAVE THE TUB READY FOR YOU ON YOUR 1ST NIGHT. Please let us have your arrival time though. You will find snug warm bedding with plenty of throws and cushions as well as a single gas burner hob, small electric toaster and beautiful enamel crockery and cutlery. However you choose to spend your days, you will have the unpolluted skies above extra clear and starry, what more could you possibly need? Simply fire up the barbecue and the wood-fired hot tub, open up a chilled bottle of wine, and get to know each-other all over again, in the serene comfort of Hut in the Vines. You will have full access to the area immediately around the hut as well as the vineyard but not our house/garden. We operate a COVID secure arrival. There is a self entry but we will try to be around if you need to ask us anything as we are on site. We will send you a digital welcome book to include operating instructions for the tub, hobbit wood burner and wood-burning pizza oven. You can text/ (Hidden by Airbnb) us if you have any questions at all! Our hut is situated in a very sweet, picturesque village just south of Canterbury. There are many glorious walks straight from the hut or you can drive further afield to the coast and enjoy the many beaches and seaside towns (Whitstable is of particular note as are the White Cliffs of Dover both around a 20 minute drive away). We have several country pubs in the area that we will happily recommend. You can take them in on a long walk or a short drive. There are many tourists attractions in the area (Canterbury Cathedral & Dover castle are of particular note) as well as super beaches and coastal towns most of which are within a 15/20 minute drive. we also have super pubs and restaurants (The Pig Hotel in the next village if you want a long, picturesque walk on tracks is around a 50 minute walk or 5 minute drive). It is best that you have a car and you are very welcome to bring your bicycles - worth it we think! We offer a complimentary breakfast pack for your 1st morning to include: tea, Coffee, milk, eggs, Juice, yoghurt & Granola We will have the hot tub ready for you for your 1st night so remember to let us have your arrival time.
