Modern Craftsman Lakeside Retreat

This lakeside retreat is located 1 hour and 20 minutes north west of Manhattan in the picturesque village of Greenwood Lake. The village sits at the north end of the lake making it just a short drive to downtown Warwick, many of the areas best apple orchards and some of the Hudson valleys best wineries. Its close proximity to the city makes this a perfect choice if you are looking for a quick and easy weekend get away. This stunning custom home was built with all the comforts of a 5 star hotel in mind. Take your pick from three master suites. All suites have King size beds, large bathrooms with oversized showers, and walk in closets. The main living space of this home consists of the hearth room which boasts 24’ ceiling, open concept chefs kitchen, oversized dining room that seats 12, and the oversized foyer which has a breakfast nook and a cozy spots to read or just sit and relax. The fun doesn’t stop there the outside spaces of this home are just as amazing as the inside. Just off the hearth room you will find an inviting deck with seating for 6 around the gas fire pit. Below the deck is a large stone terrace with outdoor dining for 12. All of which over look the park like yard. Guest are free to experience the entire house. There is only one private locked closet in the basement where we keep personal belongings when we are not using the house. We are here for our guest 24/7. We live a short 5 minute drive from the house and can be there at a moments notice. Near by attractions: 1. Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park. This park is located a short walk from the house. At the park you will find a sand beach where you and your family can enjoy the summer sun while you cool off in the lake. Be sure to check out the village website for the summer concert schedule. 2. Warwick Valley Winery is a great place to catch live music on the weekends and enjoys some of NY states best local wines. It also has a great cafe where you can grab lunch! This place gets packed! 3. Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets are just a short 20 minute ride from the house. 4. Mount Peter is a small local ski facility about 10 minutes from the house. Great family slopes! Our Favorite restaurants: 1. The Helm Restaurant is a local favorite! Small family friendly restaurant with a large craft beer selections and amazing food. Just two miles from the house. 2. The Iron forge Inn is another one of our favorites. You can choose between fine dinning in the main dinning room of the house of if your looking for something a little bit more casual head down to the Tap room. If you decide the main dinning is what you are looking for call ahead to make a reservation (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) to make a reservation. Located about 10 minute drive from the house. 3. Valley Rock Inn Located in Sloatsburg NY just over the mountain from Greenwood lake. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful restaurants in the area. During the summer enjoy lunch or dinner in their open air restaurant. On the flips side during the winter they move things indoors to their lodge which is equally as amazing. This place scores a 10 out of 10. Great place for a romantic dinner.
