Tranquil single room

Backing on to a lake, our home offers a quiet, restful retreat, one mile from town. Often described as a tardis, the house feels spacious and bright with a modern decor. In Jan 2022, we renovated the bathroom, which now has a walk in shower. There is good street parking in our qiuet cul-de-sac and local shops are a 5 min walk. Bus stop is two minutes walk. We are double jabbed. Our house is a little sanctuary next to a moat, giving a sense of tranquility and peace. It has a calming, clean, modern decor. This listing is for a cosy single bedroom at the back of the house. Complete with wardrobe, draws and a foldable table. The bed has a soft luxury mattress with single quilt. The newly renovated bathroom is opposite and fitted with walk-in shower (please note the bathroom is not fully finished as of Jan, and will be contining into Feb). Fresh towels will be in your room on check-in. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need for your stay. If you would like a dedicated shelf in the fridge please ask and we'll make space. There's a selection of hot drinks available next to the kettle and cereals in the cupboard, please help yourself. The dinning area is a lovely multi functional room, great to eat in, work in, or just chill in the arm chair. If you'd like to use the treadmill, you do so at your own risk. Feel free to step outside and enjoy the garden and wildlife that visits our garden. We also have a lovely double day bed and during summer months may well have the jacuzzi on. This is dependent on weather and chemicals though. Guests are more than welcome to use the communial areas; kitchen and the dinning area. The bathroom and toilet are upstairs. The garden makes this house special. Backing onto a historic moat, the water brings a calming, tranquil vibe. Please feel free to use and enjoy the garden. This is our home and whilst we welcome you, we ask you don't treat us as if we are your servants but please make yourself at home in the communeral areas. Don't mind socialising with guests, it's great to get to know new people. Once confirmed I'm happy to give my number to make any arrangements. Quiet, tranquil area, where you can hear the birds sing and the fountain on the lake. It really is an oasis in the heart of Basildon. Great parking. Car journey or bus from either train line into London. Great cycle route to the coast, just 11 miles away. I am happy to cook, a full English breakfast or a tasty dinner etc, just ask (24 hours notice is required and a additional charge applies). There is also a range of cereals/toast, and hot drinks for you to enjoy included in the price of your room.
