This cottage is in the market town of Broughton-in-Furness near Coniston and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Old Kings Head Barn is a lovely cottage situated in the market town of Broughton-in-Furness just nine miles from Coniston in the Lake District, Cumbria. The cottage can sleep four people in two ground floor super king-size bedrooms which can be converted to twin beds on request as well as a lower ground floor family bathroom. Also in the cottage is a ground floor open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Outside is roadside parking. Old Kings Head Barn is a lovely base from which to explore the beautiful Lake District. Amenities: Gas central heating with underfloor heating and woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, 3 x TVs (one Smart) with Freeview, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Roadside parking on a first come, first served basis. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 min walk. Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination. Town: Dating back to the 11th century, Broughton-in-Furness is situated in the south western corner of the Lake District and is just six miles from Coniston Water. There is much to please the visitor such as a pretty, cobbled square complete with a splendid horse chestnut tree, enclosed by shops, pubs and homes, many of them Georgian in origin. The village provides an ideal base for a walking or climbing holiday, with ample opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of the Duddon Valley and the quieter Lake District fells.
