The house is a charming Victorian and is decorated accordingly. Guests are on the first floor and have a separate entrance. The accommodation: a comfortable bedroom, a 'breakfast room' and a complete private bathroom Continental+cereals breakfast provided Five-minute walk from Faversham Train Station. London in just over an hour by train; Canterbury, with its Cathedral, rich history, and two universities, is nine minutes away by train. I live in the rest of the house w 2 standard poodles + a cat The house is Victorian. Decor is in keeping with the house and is informal. The accommodation is on the first floor: 2 rooms plus private bathroom. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, dressing table, small desk. The 'breakfast room' contains fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, table & chairs. Breakfast is provided: tea/coffee, cereals, bread&butter, home-made jam (vegan/no-gluten? pls ask) Bicycles can be stored in locked shed overnight Because of covid, we have separate accommodation and, while I share the staircase, we will not share any other indoor space, and I will use the staircase sparingly and only with a mask Free wi-fi throughout the house Except for coming and going to my loft bedroom, the dogs and cat and I will not share any space with guests while you are here. The house is centrally located and a short walk to town with shops, pubs, the great markets (Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday), etc. The neighbourhood is friendly and safe. There is on-street parking, though in the late afternoon/evening, you may have to park on a neighbouring street. I'll provide a daily continental (plus muesli and fruit) breakfast. Milk is delivered in glass bottles; I can provide alternatives (goat, almond, soy) if needed; please let me know your preferences in advance of arrival so I can place these in your rooms. I am very happy to share thoughts on favourite pubs, eateries, places to visit. My Road is part of a friendly neighbourhood -- lots of families, dogs, cats, and lovely town gardens. As it's convenient to the train station, it's always full of life. There are grocery stores and other shops and a great market (Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday) just a short walk into town. Public transport is very easy from here, and parking is available nearby, and sometimes right in front of the house. (I do not have off-street parking.) There is so much to see locally and there are plenty of good pubs and restaurants. The sailing barges along Faversham Creek, the beach and oysters in Whitstable (easily accessible by train), Dover Castle and the White Cliffs (only a twenty- minute-drive or a short train ride). The area abounds with beautiful gardens to visit, medieval churches, great walks, art exhibitions, and live music. In normal times, Faversham hosts various festivals (Hop, Literary, Music, Transport, Nautical, Artists' Open Houses, Open Gardens, Food, Chilli and more.)
