The towns of Cheltenham, Banbury and Swindon all around a 40 mins drive. The apartment is a new build, but retaining the character of the 16th century cottage it is attached to. There is a key safe at the door, the code will be sent to you prior to your arrival Guests are welcome to use the garden and seating areas The space Top floor apartment in the heart of Ducklington, Witney, quiet location, easy to walk for shopping or a stroll down the Windrush river, eating out, Ducklington is a very typical English village and is one of the earliest Saxon settlements in Oxfordshire, with village life centred around the duck pond and the church. There is a great local pub which offers good traditional food and local beers, plus plenty of country walks to enjoy whilst building up an appetite. The local 4-star hotel has a pool and spa, should you fancy pampering yourself a little. The charming and bustling market town of Witney lies just one mile south of Ducklington offering a super array of shops, pubs, and restaurants, plus a Sainsbury's for your weekly shop and a cinema. The fabulous university city of Oxford is just 12 miles down the A40 from Ducklington, where you will find all the larger shops and stores, plus plenty of history and character. Hanborough or Oxford train stations links Oxford to London in just over an hour, and there are over 200 parking spaces at Hanborough station! Ideal if you need to commute. There is a bus stop outside the apartment with access to Witney and surrounding villages. Oxford City can accessed by bus from Witney or by using one of the Park and Ride services Other transport can be arranged to local areas of interest.
