Montgomery is a beautiful historic Medieval Market town situated in the Welsh marches close to the English border and Offas Dyke Path. Montgomery boasts a hotel/ bistro, pub, tearooms, brewery, art and gift shops, convenience store, florists, hairdressers, ironmongers, museums, olde world bookshop, post office, fish and chip shop and many more attractions. Montgomery’s 12th century castle overlooks the town and surrounding countryside. Montgomery hosts many events throughout the year. The main square being the focal point for street parties, craft fairs and festivals. There is a thriving community spirit. Montgomery has good public transport links to local towns and train stations. Newtown 10 miles. Welshpool 7 miles. Shrewsbury 18 miles and approximately an hours drive to the coast.
