This attractively decorated three bedroom house is perfect for dining alfresco when the weather is fine or cosying up with a log fire if it turns chilly. You can swim in the river at the bottom of the garden, take a quick stroll down a path to a bar/restaurant & play area. The property is very private yet well connected to picturesque Gargilesse. Perfect for family holidays or couple/groups. Owners will be on hand but we won't intrude on your stay. We are French-speaking English. *** Hello! A little winter update. Our house does not have central heating. There is a wood burning stove which heats the lounge, kitchen and upstairs bedroom quite well, but if booking in the winter months you will need to be prepared and wrap up warm. *** The house consists of three double bedrooms, a large bathroom, open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is very well equipped, a travel cot and high chair is available and there are plenty of books, games and toys for little ones and adults alike. The outdoor space is extensive with large garden leading down to the river. A huge balcony is attached to the back of the house perfect for enjoying (or sheltering from) the sun. There isn’t WIFI currently but there is a strong mobile data connection in the area. We will be available for any needs you may have but we are sensitive hosts and will keep our distance unless you need us. About us? We are a mother and daughter team. Mother speaks fluent French and has fantastic local knowledge. Daughter (me) does the computer stuff! We don't iron sheets - sorry! Life is too short. But we will make sure the house is clean and comfortable for your stay. Best thing about the place? The river at the bottom of the garden, Auberge De La Chaumerette (atmospheric local bar/restaurant in easy walking distance), stunning Gargilesse village and all the local brocantes. After you have visited the local bar a few times and walked into Gargilesse Village you will probably want to explore the area a bit so a car is preferable. Argenton Sur Creuse and Lac d'eguzon are a short drive away for example and well worth a visit.
