Garden Cottage is a lovely contemporary addition to an 18th century Welsh long house. With separate access & pretty private garden area, it consists of a double bedroom with ensuite shower, spacious open plan kitchen/living room & separate utility room with washing machine. Additionally, there is an outside table and chairs for alfresco dining. Free wifi and gas central heating ensures guests' comfort and convenience. I have 2 cats, which you may see in the garden. The comfy bedroom has a generous king size bed, wardrobe and storage drawers and hairdryer. The kitchen is equipped with cooker, gas hob and a microwave, while the living area has a relaxed feel with a comfy sofa , table for two dining chairs, TV, DVD/CD system, board games, books & free Wifi. Located in Magor Square with its cafés, deli, greengrocer, chemist, and pub, Garden Cottage, situated less than a mile from the M4 is ideal for city or country activities. 30 mins by car/train to Cardiff or Bristol, it is only 15 minutes’ drive to the Wye Valley. Chepstow and Monmouth with their castles, shops and cafés are within easy reach as are Tintern, Abergavenny with its fabulous food festival and book town Hay-on-Wye. St Pierre Golf course and Chepstow Racecourse are close, while walkers can explore the Wales Coastal Path, Offa’s Dyke, the Black Mountains or the Brecon Beacons. Magor is on long-distance Cycle Route 4, and the nearby Wye is beloved of kayakers and canoeists. Garden Cottage is behind Magor House in Magor Square. Look for the black iron gates, walk straight ahead and turn right through a wooden gate into a courtyard. Garden Cottage is straight ahead, Parking in Magor Square is free (150 metres) and guests can access the property any time using the key safe to the right of the door. The garden area to the right is for the use of guests. I'm usually available, working from home next door, or by phone. Magor is a hidden gem – a pretty square with everything you need on your doorstep, yet minutes from the motorway. Within minutes of the M4 for access to Cardiff and Bristol, the enchanting beaches of the Gower peninsula are also accessible. Severn Tunnel Junction station is less than 10 minutes by car, with links to both cities. Buses run to Newport, Cardiff and Chepstow.
