Pretty guest house in the heart of the Pyrenees

Guest house set in the heart of a tranquil beautiful mountain village in the Pyreenes . The house has been recently updated and offers comfort and a warm relaxing atmosphere . Perfectly located for all kinds of outdoor activities including walking , climbing , hiking cycling, water sports and close to several ski stations . Located close to the prehistoric park and there are an abundance of prehistoric caves to explore in the area . The house is haven to escape to . Recently renovated and tastefully decorated the property is surrounded by views of the Pyreenes. You can relax on the south facing terrace in the sunshine with a glass of wine , or walk out of the door straight into the foothills of the mountains . Ideal location for climbing , walking and cycling . 25 mins drive to Ax Les Themes and Plateau de Belle for sking. Just a short drive to Tarascon and Foix , or visit Andorra which is just under an hour away . Located very close to the prehistoric park and there are an abundance of caves to explore . Free parking is available close to the guesthouse . Wi fi , tv and dvd player in the house . Fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your stay . Towels and bed linen provided at no extra cost . During the winter months the host will provide a basket of wood for the wood burner fire , this usually will last 2 evenings however if more is required this can be purchased from the local supermarket or bricho marche in Tarascon . There is a daily bread van which stops in the village between 9.30am - 10am, ( not on Mondays ) the van will stop on request and make sure you try the delicious baguettes, croissants and pastries . The host lives in the village and is available for the duration of your stay if needed. The host will meet you on arrival to give you the keys and can offer advise on the area , local walks , activities ect and has knowledge of the local attractions. The village is breathtaking. The people are welcoming. There is a daily bread van that can stop outside the house on request which comes between 9.30am - 10am and the local town Tarascon is a 10min drive for all your amenities , or if you are feeling energetic a bike ride away ( its downhill all the way there but uphill all the way back ! ) Also situated 20mins from Foix with its famous 9th century Cathar Castle and 25mins from Ax -Les -Themes and there are lots of beautiful villages along the way . In summer theres lots to do , local fetes summer markets , concerts all in the local areas . Nearest airports are Carcassone and Toulouse. Look out for the bread van which passes the house each day ( but not on Mondays) between 9.30 and 10 o'clock . Flag down the driver who will be happy to stop outside the house and treat yourself to bagettes , croissants and pastries. Also through the summer months there is a small market in the village located next to the river as you enter the village from Banat . The market sells vegetables bread , cheese and hot and cold food . The market is held every Friday between 17.00 and 20.00 . Please note that this is a mountain village and there are a couple of streets on route to the guest house in the centre of the village which are narrow, however a vehicle the width of a transit van is able to pass .
