Spacious and beautiful apartment with great kitchen, large living room, nice details and sunny balcony with view. Located in central Grünerløkka, you are close to everything you could wish for: parks, shops, bars, restaurants and nice sights. Convenient to get to/ from city center with bus and tram lines close by. Before you book, please note: The apartment is on the top floor of a listed building from 1893. There are no elevators and about 120 steps up from the ground floor to the apartment. The apartment is located in a historic, listed building from 1893 with beautiful courtyard and great neighbors. It's on the top floor with nice view and a large, sunny balcony with sun until 9:30PM in the summer. The courtyard with barbecue is also available for all residents, and it's only 30 meters to the most popular park in Grünerløkka, Sofienbergparken. This is my own apartment and I live here myself and only rent out when I'm traveling myself- so this is an apartment with soul and personal touch and no commercial rip off. The apartment was fully redecorated by me in 2016 and has since been featured in several interior magazines. The apartment consist of tiled entrance/ hallway, large kitchen (25 square meters) and dining area with direct access to balcony. The kitchen is modern with all amenities, fridge, large refrigerator, stove and oven. The floors have herringbone parquet and there's a dining table that seats 8 people, dinner plates for 8, cups, mugs, glasses, cutlery, KitchenAid blender, pots and pans, dim sum steamer, tajin, oven proof dishes etc. There's also a dishwasher and washing machine and clothes rack available, as well as iron board and iron. The bathroom contains of nice marble tiles on floor and marble skirting and cool, handmade Mexican glass mosaic made from recycled bottles, and beautiful sink and tap, rainfall shower and artisan shower enclosure with iron and glass. In the living room ( 20 sqm) you'll find a 4- seat sofa, nice rugs and a TV with cable, Netflix and Playstation 4 access. And of course WiFi all around the apartment. There's also a stereo and record player with nice collection of jazz records. There is one (1) bedroom with nice parquet floor and nice William Morris wallpaper, a double sized bed (180x200 cm), a vintage leather chair, reading lamp. The office has antique drawer, beautiful iron double doors, a fireplace and a computer and vintage office desk. I will be available around the clock for any questions. The area Grünerløkka is one of the coolest areas in Oslo. At least one of the most vibrant and accessible with lot of young people, beautiful parks, great restaurants, bars and small shops. An old working class hood, with exciting history and walking distance to the Akerselva river and the nice, old industrial buildings, great for walks. Also short walking distance to great parks, the Munch museum and the botanical gardens. The neighborhood lies between Tøyen, a nice immigrant area and Torshov, another exciting area. Very children friendly area, and you find at least 200 restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee bars, supermarkets and other shops within a 500 meter range. There is public street parking you need to pay for. There´s also a Oslo City Bike stand 30 meters from the apartment. The trams run every 5 mins until late and it takes you a 5 min walk to the trainstop. Bus 31 runs 24/7 and the nearest stop is Sofienberg (7 min walk). To the Oslo Central Station it is a 30-40 min walk or around 10-12 min with taxi or tram. This is a lively and buzzing area, but still residential. I ask you to respect the house rules, which means no loud sounds or music after 11PM. This goes for the balcony as well, as the balcony faces the courtyard where most apartments have their bedrooms. It´s an old building, so the sound moves well in general. Also please treat the apartment nice. I care for it very much and I have collected some nice objects over the time. Nothing expensive and fancy stuff, but things that mean something to me.
