Stunning apartment in historic mansion

Close to the centre of Sydney, this stunning contemporary and creatively styled apartment is located in an historic Victorian home situated in beautiful Summer Hill, famous for it's friendly community, cafes, restaurants and bars. In addition to your beautifully appointed double bedroom, you will have full use of bathroom, kitchen and living area. My space is a 2 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor. You'll have a private lockable room with a key and share the common areas. Entry to the building is via the driveway to the right hand side leading to a security door, then two flights of stairs to the first floor apartment. On arrival, you will find the guest room located to the right of the hallway. The guest room has a comfy double bed, white linen and towels, down quilt, summer quilt, extra pillows and blanket. In your room, there's a full size mirror, desk and chair, heater, hairdryer, iron and ironing board with lots of shelves, drawers and hanging space in the built-in wardrobe for your use. To the left of the apartment entry is the open plan living, kitchen and dining area, leading around the corner to the bathroom and laundry. There's private clothes lines in the back garden for your use. I supply body wash, shampoo and conditioner, clean linen and towels and laundry liquid. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, full sized fridge, oven and induction cooktop all for your use. A simple breakfast of muesli, bread for toast and condiments, coffee and plunger, tea and milk are provided. There's free space in the fridge and cupboards for your ingredients. The large tv has free to air and chromecast if you'd like to operate the tv from your phone using your own streaming app. There's also a manicured front garden for all to enjoy! I have a busy job, so you'll have quiet enjoyment of the apartment during the day. I typically cook at home in the evenings but I do come and go. My aim is to provide you with as much privacy as possible for you to relax in the apartment and enjoy your stay. I welcome overseas and local guests and can advise you on local restaurants and amenities including tips on Sydney attractions that locals love. There's a lock box for the key, so I'm happy to accomodate a late check in or check out where possible, so please contact me if you require this. I know travel plans can change at the last minute! Summer Hill is a friendly and warm community, where you'll find welcoming cafe's and shops. My favourite cafe is Envy, where you'll discover fresh home cooking and great service. There's a large outdoor courtyard as well as the indoor seating. You'll discover a wide variety of restaurants from, Italian, Thai, Japanese and even an acclaimed restaurant by Urban List. There are bars and a wine shop, kids shop, gift shop, pharmacy, gym, hairdressers and one of the best supermarkets in the area. It even has a cheese room! The taxi/Uber ride from the airport to Summer Hill is approximately 20 minutes. Or there's a train from the airport to Central where you can change platforms for a direct line to Summer Hill. There's no visitor parking, but lots of free street parking available. The apartment is just 5 minutes walk from the village of Summer Hill and the train station. The train is 14 minutes to Central station and just 3 stops to the vibrant hub of Newtown. There's a bus stop on Junction Road right across from the apartment and the bus takes approximately 30 minutes to get to the city via bus route #413. The closest light rail station is Lewisham West and is approximately 10 minutes walk from the apartment. The light rail to the city meanders through Jubilee Park, Glebe, Fish Markets, Star Casino, Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, Power House Museum, Chinatown and the Capitol Theatre. An Opal card is required on all public transport in Sydney and is available at local convenience stores and newsagents. It's really easy to arrange and top ups are readily available.
