Kingsize comfort with ensuite & access to garden.

Welcome to our family home, located in a quiet suburb but within a 10-15 minute walk from university and hospital, essential shops, woodland and sea front. The room with ensuite is located in a side extension to the original house, with French doors opening onto your own patio with seating overlooking the lower level back garden. The room has tea/coffee making facilities and you can use the kitchen which is adjacent and shared with the rest of the family. The room is eclectically furnished, a mix of new and old, up cycled items. Previous guests comment how comfortable the memory foam mattress is, and how spacious the bathroom with toilet, wash basin and level access shower. I can provide a choice of wool, feather/down or synthetic bedding, and ample supply of towels. There is excellent WiFi to catch up TV on your own device. We sleep upstairs and our adult son has his quarters on the other side of the ground floor, so you have all the privacy after we retire to bed. You can access the room directly via the patio and side path but front door keys are also provided. There is off road parking at the front of the house, we're at the end of a cup de sac. Nearest bus stop is only a short walk away. You can store your own supplies in our fridge and kitchen cupboard, and use the induction hob / electric oven / grill / microwave / dishwasher. Access to washing machine and drier in garage can be arranged (included in the price within reason). No smoking anywhere in the house but you can on the patio. You'll be welcomed by myself or my partner Niek. One or both of us may be in work on weekdays but when home we are available for questions and tips to make the most of your stay in Swansea. Our house is in a very quiet neighbourhood, at the end of a cul-de-sac. It is a 15 minute walk from Singleton hospital, Swansea University and the sea front, 10-15 minutes to nearest shops, take away outlets, pubs, cafes, restaurants, and ancient woodland. There is a choice of nearby bus stops that take you to the city centre, or the other way to Mumbles which is a favourite with tourists and locals for Italian ice cream and coffee, good food and drink, quirky shops and leisurely walks along the seafront. The amazing Gower Peninsula 'area of outstanding beauty' is on our doorstep. You can view directions to our place from the bus- or train station, motorway and Cardiff airport under 'info for guests' after you have booked. There is off road parking at the front of the property and more free parking on the road. Taxis are a popular way to get around, or check out firstgroup for good value daily or weekly bus tickets. Nearby Swansea University has a cycle hire scheme. We have two docile cats who will seek your company if you leave your door open! Overnight we close the kitchen doors so you shouldn't be disturbed. There are 4 steps to/from the house both front and back so access would be an issue if you have poor mobility or are a wheelchair user, and for this reason our place may also not be suitable for small children.
