Sunny Double/Twin Room at Ronans Rest

Better than 'just a room' - this is a dedicated guest room in my home. NOTE - I am happy to host you if you & all on your booking are fully vaccinated. You have your own room, with own TV - SKY/cable, Netflix & Amazon capable and unlimited Wifi access. Off street parking is usually available. The rate is per person. The room has a double & single bed so can sleep couple or friends. (It really is too small for 3 people & luggage.) Enter the number of guests at time of booking. Our home is a large 1930's villa that we have renovated in sympathy with its age, while adding conveniences for modern living. This sunny room is on the North corner of the house bathed in morning sun. With both double and single beds (both with oversized duvets) this room can accommodate a couple or two friends. Guests share family bathroom with hosts and other guests. A large bathroom with twin basins, large bath and walk in shower, (all on instant gas heated hot water so no cold showers!)a smaller guest bathroom with toilet & wash basin. Robes are provided for your convenience. Stay connected with free WiFi high speed fibre internet available. Relax with Netflix at the push of a button on your smart TV, also with SkyTV. Charging power board by bedside with direct USB charger ports and plugs for all your electrical gear. Our home is centrally heated for year round comfort. Off street parking available. Guests have their own dedicated guest room with smart TV or can join us in the main lounge. The outdoor covered deck is a great place to spend time after a day's travelling or dry some laundry too - leave with all clean clothes! ($2 if you need to use the dryer) Make a hot drink or prepare a light snack in the kitchen but guests are not able to cook their own meals. For a small fee enjoy a light breakfast or share in our evening meal. Guests can choose to keep their own company to unwind and reflect on their day, or join us if they want company. We are on hand with advice on places to go and how to get there should that be needed. We live in a quiet tree lined street in an area of owner occupier homes. Local shops, including cafes, Indian, Chinese as well as Fish & chips takeaways, small supermarket, hair salon and pharmacy are a 5 minute walk away, near the station. Trains to Wellington leave every 30 minutes. There's a bus stop a few doors along at the corner that passes through the main Lower Hutt shopping/city area connecting with buses to other areas. We are a flat 7 minute walk to the train station and from there 20 minutes to the heart of Wellington CBD, waterfront precinct and Westpac stadium. In fact we are closer to the CBD than many Wellington suburbs. We have two cats who spend time indoors as well as venturing outside.
