Our cosy 1840's miners cottage is perfect for stays all year round. Located in the St Agnes countryside, enjoy a summer break near several family beaches, or relax in front of the wood burner after exploring the historic Cornish coastline and countryside. The cottage is within walking distance of the village centre, SW Coast path and several surfing beaches ranging from small National Trust run beaches to dramatic 3 mile long resort beaches. ©️2020 Our cottage was extensively renovated over 2 years and completed in 2020. It retains it's old charm, whilst meeting modern expectations and is well-equipped to accommodate 4. There are 2 bedrooms which sleep 4 people, a large shower room, living room with a wood burning stove, dining room and kitchen. A sheltered courtyard and decking area to the rear, with countryside views and a sheltered South facing area to the front. Located a 10 min drive from the cathedral city of Truro and 5 mins to the A30, it is excellently positioned for exploring Cornwall and its abundant local beaches (4 within 5 miles) and countryside. You will find a bright clean space containing a brand new kitchen, dining area, lounge with a wood burning stove, TV, and DAB radio for linking up your own music. Games and books are provided if you fancy a quiet night in by the fire or relaxing during the day. The kitchen is well equipped for you to self cater and contains an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and a cafetière for coffee. The dining room seats 4-5 at the extendable table. A door leads out from the dining room to a small courtyard and steps up to an elevated deck area where a table and chairs are provided with views of the local Beacon and countryside. Perfect for morning coffee or night caps. Upstairs there is a vaulted ceiling double bedroom and a vaulted single bedroom with tall bunk beds large enough for 2 adults. The bathroom is on the first floor and comprises a W/C, basin, and large walk in shower. We welcome 1 well-behaved dog by request and there is an additional fee. We ask that your pet is never left unattended in the cottage at any time. Please bring your own dog bedding and ensure pets remain downstairs and do not go on any of the furniture. You will have your own private parking spot to the front of the cottage. Parking is limited to one family sized vehicle. Please respect our personal garden areas indicated as private. These are strictly off limits to guests at all times. Logs and kindling for a couple of fires are provided for the wood burning stove. More wood can be purchased locally or by request from the owners. Linen, 1 towel per guest, electricity & Wi-fi are included in the rental. Please leave the cottage as you found it to avoid a cleaning fee and to enable a swift turnaround and airing of the property on checkout. Additional Charges will occur for any extra cleaning, breakages and replacement of lost keys. You will find 2 grocery stores, chip shop, gift shops, Post Office, restaurants, pubs and bars offering quizzes, live music and food. The main A30 is close, providing links to the North Coast's historic ports of Newquay and Padstow, wide beaches of Perranporth and Watergate Bay, surfing coastline and secluded beaches. Head South for the rural Lizard Peninsular, the UKs most Southerly point with small sheltered beaches. Explore the Cathedral City of Truro or head to Falmouth and its festivals, National Maritime Museum and history. And finally head West to the rugged and wild Land's End. There's lots to see and do in and around the St Agnes area. Combine that with coming home to a cosy traditional Cottage and you have a perfect Cornish holiday. ©️2020 Travel by car is best, but there are hourly buses to Newquay and Truro just down the road. There is a mainline train station in Truro 7 miles away with a branch line to Falmouth.
